Brutes Fury set - Where to slot?
Keep in mind you can also choose to split the set across 2 powers 3/3.
This gives you 10% s/l defense and 6% hp for a total of 6 slots. (Catalyzed)
Compare that to 3 sets of kinetic combat which gives 11.25% s/l defense and 4.5% hp for a total of 12 slots.

Yeah, I split Catalyzed Brute's across a couple of attacks for the 10% S/L, replacing two sets of Kinetic Combat. Both attacks got a massive boost in enhancements, and it's a straight-up 3.5% extra defense.
Additionally, since I had been using 4 Kinetic and 2 Mako in each attack, I was able to use 3 Brute and 3 Mako, which gets an extra 1.5% max health per attack.

Some advice concerning the proc:
The regular proc procs 4 times per minute, the Superior one procs 5 times per minute. This means that if you can find a single target attack with a base recharge of 15 sec or longer, it will proc every time you use it (12+ sec for the superior version).
Chain Induction is an excellent attack that you should be using as often as possible. It also has a 14 second recharge. If you slot the regular proc there, it will add 5 fury 93% of the time. with the superior proc, it will add 7 fury every time. With reasonable slotting ans set bonuses, it isn't unreasonable to expect the power to be recharged every 5-7 seconds.
In comparison, Charged Brawl has a 3 second recharge, and Havoc Punch is 6 seconds. CB would proc 20% of the time (25% for the superior), and HP would proc 40% (or 50%) of the time. While it's still a good proc rate, and should give the same results over time, the random number generator is fickle, and if you give it a chance to fail several times in a row, eventually it will. If you can, why not make it fire every time?

A friend of me swaers by having the proc slotted in Blazing Aura (*is generating a lot fury*).
Pretty sure it's just his impression since he didn't try the proc in other powers.
I don't know if or how it proc works for auras, espec. out of combat (aura is on but doesn't hit anything).
If it stops the fury meter to drop when AFk'ing maybe it's something to consider?
Can I ask if Burn would make a good candidate for the proc?
With 100% effective recharge it would be at the 12,5 sec margin, should be good for the superior version.
I personally find the proc works best in burn...

As I said, put it in burn, up about every 10 seconds, AoE that hits lots of baddies, and well slotted does lots of damage.
-E- My SS/Fire brute between FS and Burn, my Fury stays about 90-95% all the time...and I do mean nearly ALL the time.
