Dimension Shift + Force Bubble = invulnerable?
I don't believe phasing works that way - whatever phase you are in, you can only successfully attack things that match your phase. That's why allies must enter the phase to attack things within. If Force Bubble pushed everything outside the Dimension Shift, the enemies would return to normal phase, and thus could not be attacked by someone inside the DS. That said, the controller inside the DS would be safe from non-Hamidon harm.
Would the immob from DS prevent the repel (haven't viewed DS's numbers to see if repel/KB protect is included)? Also, what's the radius on the DS as compared to FB?
Now I wonder how DS interacts with Carnie Illusionists. Would they be in a phase within a phase, or drop to normal phase?

The idea was that you could sit inside the phase, also inside the repel bubble, while the repel bubble and your attacks could still affect enemies outside the phase.
Normally, phase power give the condition "only affect self" to prevent you from attacking enemies while invulnerable, but Dimension Shift can't if enemies are allowed to be attacked within the field.
That is why my idea would be to keep enemies out of the phase while you stay in and pelt them with impunity.
Edit:
40ft Force Bubble, 20ft Dimension Shift

I don't think Phase powers use Only Affect self nowadays, as Honbrid says it now uses a Phases flag and only two things with matching Phase statuses can hurt each other. If they're outside your field you can't affect each other.
Given server ticks etc I reckon they'd be constantly running to the edge of Dimension Shift, phasing and maybe getting an attack off and then being repelled back out, losing Phase and becoming immune to the repel effect again (Immobs don't protect against Repel, and Gravs don't even counter knockback). Rinse and repeat.
Dimension Shift & Hurricane might work better in that case if you wanted to be Mr Roadblock, Hurricane has the Range and ToHit debuffs so anything sneaking into the phase gets debuffed and pushed back. But I don't think you're going to be able to combine it with shooting things outside the bubble.
Dimension Shift includes a pretty high-mag immobilize anyway.

It's actually starting to sound like a poor man's Incandescence.... can you Recall teammates while under Dimension Shift?
Anyway, it wouldn't be fully invulnerable, as others have stated, but pull it off right and you've got a decently long grace period for you and your team if things get super hectic.
Force Bubble -will- repel the Dimension Shifted enemies out, even if they get hit with the Immob, unless they're already protected from a mag 10 Repel. Enemies who are not stuck in place will attempt to close in on you, and the 50ft of Force Bubble won't do anything till they're inside the Dimension Shift, so they may be able to get an attack off in between FB pulses.
Hurricane would be the better choice, depending on how fast it pulses compared to Force Bubble and compared with Dimension Shift.
I actually want ta' see this done now...
To right the countless wrongs of our day, we shine the light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise. What a wonderful world such would be....
I'm sorry what was that, I couldn't hear you over my TRAGIC PAST!!

I would try it, as I have a grav/ff 50, but I don't really want to play that character now. It is also on a locked character slot, so I would need to use a slot I have planned for another character to unlock it. That means I would need to delete this character after the test, but I may want to play it again since I am notorious for remaking the same build a while after I delete it.
Edit:
I also don't have the spare points or cash for points( ) to be able to get another slot.
This is why I wanted to pose the question here to see if somebody with a spare slot and spare time could test my idea.
Edit 2:
Actually, your ideas make me wonder how well it would work for situations like the Midnight Dodger badge on the Alpha Slot TFs.

Now a Barracuda SF might be able to use this somewhat effectively - Keeping Reichsman in the Phase (I'm assuming that a force bubble is not enough to knock most AVs around), and limiting the amount of the swarm of 5th column that can touch the team...
"My inner mind has become a reality-cracking overgod. He torments me! Help!"
Anybody willing and able to test this?
You can even do it with two different characters so long as one uses Gravity and the other uses Force field.
Edit:
Throw in a third person with Storm for good measure.
Dimension Shift phases all those inside the area, or who enter the area.
Force Bubble repels all enemies, who are not resistant to the magnitude 10 repel, outside the bubble.
I wonder how they would behave combined such that the controller could stay within the phased phased area and still attack enemies that were outside the phased area and the bubble?
That would be very interesting.
