Which Lore pets for a Scrapper?
They do Alot of Lethal and Smashing which is common and alot of Mobs, Av got High Resistance to that, you might want to focus on a Special type of Damage like Psi, Toxic or -end.
Really doesn't matter what you get unless you got plans to PVP, Cimerorans have a strong Smashing and Lethal Resistance, so that is good, They do lack t Psi Damage resistance, pretty sure also Toxic also.
Remember Higher The Tier for your Lore Pet, Better they last also, You can Heal them buff them with Destiny Incarnate buff, they do keep them alive longer. Tier 3-4 of Lore Pet is really Amazing, I think Tier Four grants a boss Minion.
I would focus on a Pet with Aoe or Has the Higher Special Damage Like PsI, If you looking for Something Else go with Carnies, Seers, Clockwork, Storm Elements, and Rularuu.
Never play another NcSoft game, If you feel pride for our game, then it as well, I Superratz am Proud of all of you Coh people, Love, Friendship will last for a lifetime.

I personally like Seers.
they're ranged, so don't get in my way, the radial version gives me a lesser variant of fortitude buff that they keep on me constantly while shes alive, something like 5% def, 15% dmg 10% tohit. Its quite nice.
Carnival is also a favorite, same reasons as above, but they give me a lesser forge buff, more dmg, no defense.
Plus, they're easy on the eyes!
I haven't been able to find much about this, so I thought I'd just post a relatively quick question. To preface, I have a lvl 50 katana/super reflexes scrapper that has worked rather well for me, but I'm having a bit of trouble with my lore pets. I know I have wanted them to be Cimerorans, due to the incredible damage output by comparison to other sets and due to the effectiveness of their healer pet, but I'm unsure as to whether I should focus on having damage oriented pets or whether I should go the healer pet route. I already have the tier 3 power that gives a boss and lt. to fight for me, but the lt. dies in a hurry and the boss doesn't usually last much longer. Of course, I'm also using them when soloing on +0x8 versus rikti repeatables, as that is my prefered method of farming for purples, so I'm not sure if they just aren't very good in that area or what.
In any case though, they question pretty much is this: should I get pets that deal tons of damage, or pets that can keep me alive via healing? And thanks in advance for your help, as always. =) P.S. Just to throw this in, I have soft-capped defense, and I am going for musculature alpha for more damage, reactive interface for yet more damage, ionic judgement to help in case of adds, and ageless destiny in order to keep my endurance up, otherwise I still go through quite a few blues in a mission. Hopefully that'll give enough information to get things going. |
For lore I have rularuu as my dps pets and seers for lambda and some other content.
For destiny I suggest rebirth for solo and barrier for teaming but I don't know which epic pool you got. I have body mastery with conserve power and physical perfection to handle endurance issue. Barrier or rebirth can keep your lore pets alive too so I suggest using either instead of ageless.
Boosting your defense enhancements up to +5 may result in removing combat jumping or maneuvre without losing your softcap which reduce your overall endurance reduction a bit and give you a few extra slot and power spots to get something else.
Cimerorans are cool, because they're basically scrappers too, making you into a sort of scrapper nesting doll. Oh, and they're absurdly strong.
Generally, I think the damage lore pets are far better than the support pets, although admittedly most (?) solo scrappers cannot keep the pets alive very well against large groups of strong enemies.
I take Cimeroran Core on every character. The numbers dont lie.
The numbers we have actually do lie, if you're referring to the pylon tests somebody did a while ago, since Arbiter Hawk mentioned recently that a bunch of pets have been changed since then. I don't think anyone has gathered new numbers yet.

As soon as my lore recharges I'll do another test without other incarnate abilities slotted and update this (i forgot the first time), but Reactive should come out to 40-50 dps I *think* which would mean same dps as the cimerorans were before. Although I do believe a more accurate test includes interface because that would be the norm for normal play. If X lore pets attack faster than Y lore pets, then they're going to gain a slight advantage in dps over the others.
edit: without interface and alpha, t4 cim core does 280.576, 2 dps off of the previous number
I would not be at all surprised if Cimerorans are still on top, but the variance between the various pets is probably much narrower than it was, is what I meant. I don't think you're wrong about Cims, but it was worth mentioning for this discussion that the frequently cited numbers are no longer valid.

It depends on the situation:
Cimerorans are perfect for single target damage. If you're looking for lore pets to provide healing, Cimerorans' radial branch is tied with Longbow for healing moves - there's one AoE heal, and one single target heal that will only be activated on the summoner.
Longbow T4 Core is great for team encounters because it does significant -regen. Using it that way you can become a force multiplier on large teams by debuffing the enemy's health recovery.
Storm T4 Radial has a hurricane that affects targets and a single target summoner heal, but is itself phased out and cannot be harmed by most attacks. As far as I know this is the only Lore pet that has affects mobs while phased. Useful if you're on a team that doesn't mind knockback and can use the -ToHit it provides.

Personally I took Longbow. Mostly because there's something very satisfying about coming up to an end of arc EB in DA and dropping a giant robot on them before proceeding to punch them into oblivion.
