Pet IO: Brilliant Leadership- too cheap?
There are plent of reasons to get another set but if your happy with what you got why change.
Basically, that. That IO set is definitely not something you'd find in a top tier bling'd out build, but there's nothing *wrong* with it, and it certainly does the job better than SOs - the equivalent of 3 acc, 3 dam, and 2 end? Not bad. If you come into some money and become interested in tricking out your MM to the limits you'd probably want to replace it, but there's really no *need* to.
About the only thing that makes me wonder a bit is that, while the set does provide very good enhancement values for straight up combat, it doesn't leave room for enhancing anything else. For the demonlings and the prince that doesn't matter, but it's rather tempting to try to get some resistance or healing enhancement into your tier 2. I might be tempted to switch it out for Blood Mandate acc/dam, dam/end, acc/dam/end (all level 50), the level 40 Brilliant Leadership acc/dam you already have, and two plain level 50 resistance IOs. Blood mandate should also be a cheap set, you still have very good acc, dam, and end values, and you get some nice resistance bonuses.
If you can get them, it'd also probably be worth investing in the two pet +resistance aura IOs - Sovereign Right resistance bonus and Expedient Reinforcement resistance aura. Demons are a mostly resist based set, and it's really nice to stack that extra 20% from the IOs on top of their inherent resistances, steamy mist, and ember shield. I don't know off the top of my head what prices those are commanding these days, but if they're too expensive you can always buy them with merits of one sort or another.

This is what it means to be a tank!
Indeed, Brilliant Leadership is bargain basement with modest set bonuses but very effective, much better than SO only.
There are four special specific enhancement bonuses (edict of the master bonus, sovereign right bonus, expedient reinforcement and call to arms bonus). I suggest you put them in the hell on earth power. The bonuses will be worth more than the damage living hellfire does. I also suggest six slotting hell on earth and getting some accuracy in order for the little hellfires to keep attention on them and not on you.
Alignment merits doing hero/villain reinforcement and weekly signature story arc runs will get you the good stuff very soon.

HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.
I'm not an expert player who usually spends enough time on City of Heroes to get a ton of Inf, so I slotted out my DS/Storm with 3 sets of the very affordable lvl 40 Brilliant Leadership IO's. Is there any reason why I.shouldn't keep these, and what might be the disadvantage of this cheap IO set?

There's absolutely no reason not to keep them, although usually I try to frankenslot, by taking the most appealing parts of multiple cheap sets in order to max out the enhancement values which are of most use to me (typically Damage and Accuracy for pets, with some End in some cases)
Thank you all for the input. It seems like the set bonuses aren't huge with Brilliant Leadership, but with 3 complete sets, with manuevers, assault, tactics, and Steamy Mist all going at once... things are pretty decent!
That being said I'm leaning toward grabbing better IO's once I hit level 50 and start working on trying to make my toon a little better. Blood Mandate sounds like the easiest upgrade. Do you all think that having multiple full sets of the same IO's has more of advantage over using all different sets of IO's?
You can also slot pet uniques in tornado...He did say Demon Storm
LvL 50 Dark Dark, Emp/Rad Defenders
LvL 50 Inv/Axe, Fire/Fire, Stone/Stone, Mace/Shield Tanks, EM/Inv
LvL 50 Spines/DA Scrapper
LvL 50 Ice/Storm, Ice/Rad, Earth/Rad, 2 Fire/Kin, Ill/Rad, Grav/FF, Controller Elec/Storm
LvL 50 Bots/FF, Merc/Traps, MM Thugs/Traps, Demon/Thermal

Some pets just work better with some sets than others, and some pets work better with only parts of sets so you can enhance other things too (I don't know about Demons but on Bots the T2 pets give defence bubbles so I always find room for 2 defence IO's in them rather than a full set of something).
British by act of union, English by grace of God, Northern by pure good fortune!

That last Signature mish was a cake walk to solo with this toon. I also run the leadership pool as well (aside from vengeance ) .
