Do not **** with me on the road.

At night.

And if you drive into the back of my car do not attempt to flee because I will chase after you.

At 85mph.

Because I will corner you in the parking lot of an apartment complex and get your license plate number.

Don't **** with me ever.

Period.

What'd the cops do to the schmuck once they came?

Have no fear for they took away my keys and keep me strapped in this chair because apparently I'm a danger to myself and others. I won't get the chance to do anything to you on the road.

... in GAME however, I can't be held responsible for any therapy bills.

I didn't summon the cops. I'm going to let them live with the fear that the cops will be coming for them any day.

It was a minor scratch - it was the whole hit and run aspect that pissed me off. Their car took more damage than mine and I needn't summon the police and have my insurance go up.

Why would your insurance go up if they hit you in the back of your car and they were at fault?

Hit and run is a crime, and can be a pretty serious one. What if they'd hit someone who wasn't as good a driver and that person had crashed? What if the driver who hit you was intoxicated and makes a habit out of driving drunk?

I've been the victim of hit and run twice and didn't catch the person who did it either time. The first time was when I was at my job during college and someone sideswiped my parents' car out on the street and kept going. It cost my parents hundreds of dollars to have that repaired.

The second time it happend was when an a-hole ran a redlight and hit my car. Fortunately I was able to slam on the brakes and they only took out most of my grill and my right front headlight/fender. Unfortunately, the car wasn't drivable after they hit me, and because they just kept going I never got their license plate number. Thanks to them, I was out my $500 deductible, but even though my insurance covered the rest of the $1200+ repair bill, my rates didn't go up. Thank goodness I had a witness who saw the whole thing as she was coming out of a restaurant on the corner of that intersection.

So yeah, if you're going to go to the trouble, not to mention the danger, of chasing someone down at 85 mph, you absolutely should report the jackhole to the police.

Because the accident still goes on YOUR record. And the fact that you live in such a "dangerous" neighborhood that someone hit-and-runs you is a qualification for jacking up your insurance rates.

Hmmm..I havent had my isurance go up when such things have happened. But no idea on the dangerous neightborhood part of it.

I'd think that'd be more of put on the initial price than jacked up even more.

I've turned in a claim on a hit and run without my insurance going up, but that also required the police report stating that it was in fact a hit and run (otherwise my insurance would of gone up).

To VG, sorry to hear it.

Considering that every other commercial these days if for Progressive, Geico, Farmers Direct, Allstate, etc., etc., etc. I would be very surprised if any insurance company raised your rates based on an accident that was not your fault, and that cost them nothing. If it truely was a scratch, it would probably come out of VooDoo Girl's deductible.

If I was in that situation, and they raised my rates, I'd complain, and if they didn't lower them after that, I threaten to drop them.

Chasing someone at 85 mph at night is the height of stupidity. You're lucky you didn't kill yourself or someone else. All for a scratch.

Bravo.

Yes, laws that, by what you've posted here, you clearly broke and probably would have been arrested for.

Stupid.
