I have wanted this for a VERY long time. There is no reason my hero defender should have to become a villain to have a defense armor. Defenders/Corruptors are the only type that require you to become a villain if you want a defense shield. Doms/Controllers/MM/Blasters all have access to ice for their defense shield.

The great thing about this is that it every one of these powers exists in the game currently, so it shouldn't be TOO hard to roll out soon. ;-)
This goes through my mind every time I roll up a Defender or heroic Corruptor..
I'd settle for an Energy APP as well, as long as it had some sort of defense shield. (probably prefer energy actually, since Ice Shields are ugly imo)
Any defense shield would be nice. Port it over from energy aura and voila

Please, give Corruptors and Defenders access to at least ONE APP that offers an Ice theme as well as defense. Right now the only choice they have is the Patron Pool for Black Scorpion for defense and nothing for an ice theme. Ice Mastery would make total sense, given you can have ice blast AND cold domination Corruptors and defenders.
Just give it:
Flash Freeze or Energy Absorption (without the def buff aspect): Available level 35, would fit right in line with 1st tier APP powers like Power Sink, Dark Consumption, and Mass Hypnosis.
Freezing Touch (or Block of Ice): Available level 35, would fit right in line as well with similar powers like Dominate, School of Sharks, or Thunderstrike.
Frozen Armor: available level 41 if one of the previous taken. Nuff said.
Hoar Frost, Power Boost, or Wet Ice: available level 41 if one other taken. Wet Ice would finally give one other APP that offers status resistance besides Psy, but would need the def debuff resistance taken out, I think.
Hibernate: available level 44 if two others taken. Enough said.
This would keep it perfectly in line with the other Corruptor/defender APPs and Patrons, offering one AoE mitigation (flash freeze just like Mass Hyp) or end buff (Energy Drain just like Power sink or dark consumption), one single target high damage with some mitigation (Freezing Touch just like several from APPs), one armor, one self buff, and one panic button.
Please let those of us with concept toons stick to our concepts. Please, please please.
