Soul Mastery or Fire Mastery on various scrappers

I was wanting to get some opinions on how these two epic/patrons would fare on various scrappers.

I have seen a lot of support for Soul on regen scrappers but overall, it seems fire is still just too nice to resist (fireball) for most others.

I am particularly interested in the pros and cons of the two on a couple of different scrapper types that don't necessariy NEED the defense of shadow Meld but may not have a lot of AOE. so:

Invulns

Will powers

Super Reflexes

How about these guys when paired with primaries that are mainly ST?

For example, I have a DM/Invuln with fire mastery and Fireball has completely changed my ofensive attack style. Would it be worth it to trade fire balst and firelball and char off form something like Moonbeam, Shadow meld, and dark blast (or the GW hold)?

Thanks for any thoughts or examples of what any of you guys may have done with these..

End Game- LVL 50 Scrapper-DM/INV
Ripjak- LVL 50 Defender-Rad/Rad
Extruder- LVL 50 Scrapper-DM/REG
Juicie- LVL 50 Blaster-ELEC/ELEC
Mind Sync- LVL 50 Controller-MIND/FF

If you are running a soft-capped scrap (~45% or so), and you intend to do a lot of incarnate content where you might not depend on team +def buffs (like say SLAMs in the warehouse, or the new DA content), you should consider Shadow Meld as a way to i-softcap (i-cap) yourself every 15 seconds (more or less).

Otherwise, keep the greater AOE.

Pretty much this, I take Soul if I want Shadow Meld, and Fire if I want damage.

There's the alpha slot. Then there's Destiny slot (Ageless).

But honestly if you have a secondary with Endo Management tools (e.g., Dark Consumption) and you're willing to carry blues, you can solo effectively. On teams you probably have someone with an endo boost.

Self-sustaining endurance is really only an issue under hardcore pylon/AV rules. Otherwise craft Recovery Serums or pop open the /auctionhouse to bid on blues.

For SR i suggest none and I suggest body mastery. For WP it depends but my current WP needs body mastery even more than my SR.

That, and depends on how you slotted yourself, along with Miracle, Numina, Performance Shifter, Recovery set bonuses, accolades... :3

As long as you don't purposely bork yourself in getting specific set bonuses, any build should potentially be able to make do without Body Mastery.

Except Dark Armor, of course.

(just kidding)

I always go with whatever fits my character concept. Went with Body Mastery for my main (claws/invuln). I used to take Conserve Power on my way to Physical Perfection, but Recovery Serum does pretty much the same thing - so now I take Focused Accuracy for the perception bonus, which invulnerability lacks (plus it adds a little bit of + to hit for high-def targets).

Larry: Owen, what the hell did you do to my wife?
Owen: Well I don't want to say on the phone - all I can tell you is that I killed her last night.
