Eliminate market/game differences

Let me explain.

I just happened to check the paragon market and found that they were selling perf shifters. They were on sale, too. So, I got 4. 280 points. Didn't have anything else pressing to spend the points on, so why not.

I pull one from the e-mail and see that these perf shifter procs to do NOT work the same way as the ones that I can buy from wentworths. They only work 3 times a minute. Now, I haven't tested it to see if this will work just fine, but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't work nearly as well as the one I can get through merits or wentworths.

I think that when I buy other products like lotg 7.5% from the market and they buff recharge the same as in game procs, I expected this proc to work the same as the one in game.

So, let my bad experience be a lesson to be learned by all - before you buy anything, go to beta, buy it and look at it first. Because these people are simply not to be trusted.

That's pretty messed up. I was planning on getting one, too.

IIRC the original Proc is a 5% chance?

The Market Proc being 3PPM means it will absolutely go off 3 times in a minute, it also means it will almost always go off on a power that has a recharge of 20+ secs.

Now I'm not a Math person but I think the performance is comparable and depending on what power your putting it into the PPM one might actually be superior to the 5%.

if in an Auto power I think the check is once every 10 secs
so that's a 5% chance every 10 secs or a guaranteed proc every 20 secs

From that thread :
Not sure how buying something off the market that works better than the stuff in game is a bad market experience. The fallout if they get changed or pulled off the market will be a bad experience no matter what they do.

I see...it does sound quite a bit better, after reading more about it. Interesting...

That 3 times a minute means how many times (on average) it will actually fire, not just get a chance to fire. In a power like Stamina (which rolls for the proc every 10 seconds), this means it has a 50% chance to fire on every tick. This makes it more than twice as strong (!!!!) as the crafted version.

It should still be fixed IMO (and Synapse is apparently looking into it), but in the opposite direction from what you were thinking.

I guess what makes it bad is the fact that the end recovery will be impacted when they make the adjustment to correct it. Then, I'll have to respec, which I don't particularly enjoy.

Hmm, I guess I can just burn an unslotter and put in the regular kind, just hate to level up a toon, expecting to have a certain amount of end, and then, all of a sudden, i won't.

If you prefere the crafted one, can always buy in game a lvl 21 one Proc and buy the rest of the set you want in the market.
