Bots/Time build

So I'm working on my bots/time MM again. I've learn a fair bit about builds and I'm making this toon go villain anyway for RP reasons.

This toon is gonna be a mostly soloer, with some itrials. Mostly SSAs for the hero merits. The blank slot is for the AoE defence MM ATO. My plan is open with provoke, hit off grenade, and let my bots do their job while I keep taunting.

For incarnate, I'm going Longbow Core, Spiritual Core, Cognitive Radical and Rebirth. Do you guys have any suggestions which don't involve me slotting purples?

Without actually looking at your build, I would suggest not going Spiritual Core. Pets benefit from your alpha slotting however they don't benefit from Recharge. You could go Musculature for your pets or go Cardiac/Vigor and strip out a bunch of endredux IOs in your build and save 6-7 slots to use on other stuff like more recharge.

Also slot Temporal Selection with 2 rchg IOs and ditch the golgis. With 2 rchg IOs you can keep it (almost) up on 3 pets permanently (or even better, 3 players, if you're in such a situation).

Time Crawl is fine with just an acc/end IO. Health is overslotted. Slot Scorp Shield with 1 lotg rchg + and 5 red fortunes for rchg, same deal for Farsight. You could also potentially strip a couple slots out of Slowed Response since you don't really need any of Analyze Weakness's set bonuses, so you could frankenslot with less slots and not really lose anything.

Also, slot Photon Grenade for damage, not stun. It's only a 30% chance to stun and that doesn't even stack with your other mezzes which are Holds (Distortion Field, Time Stop). Furthermore I'd ditch the Immob proc also, only being a 20% chance for mag 2 and being unable to stack with anything else you have. Drop 5 posi blasts in there (make sure to include the damage proc), and you will be doing alot better in terms of dealing damage and provoking more effectively. And while the base damage is low, 71 damage per cast is alot better than 31, and that will be buffed by slowed response.

I'd also take Upgrade Robot, Slowed Response, and Chrono Shift earlier and put off Teleport or Recall Friend til later.

Move some stuff around, made some changes, unslotted, reslotted.

I 6 slotted taunt for an extra bit of defence and 7.5% recharge enhancement etc.

Just 2 more things, then it looks like you're set.

1) I'd take out the Dark Watcher proc and move it to Slowed Response. Then change the slotting of Analyze weakness to:

Achilles Heel Proc
AW: Acc/rchg
AW: Acc/rchg/end
lvl 50 rchg IO

The main purpose of slowed response is -res. The -def it has is good enough at base value. Slotting it as such will also make it perma on hard targets and have it recharged about 10 seconds quicker for mob to mob use.

2) I would also add a kismet proc to weave. You could make room for it by ditching either the Ghost Widow proc in Distortion Field or either the res/end or res IO in Tough.

I don't understand why a /Time MM even bothers with Provoke, especially when coupled with Bots. Bots/Time/Mace is easy to softcap to everything for PVE, and most things for iTrials. Take TP self and TP yourself (not bots) into middle of spawn. TJ debuffs the spawn's To-Hit (helps to keep your bots virtually softcapped) AND holds aggro while your bots open up from range.

Seriously, Provoke is not needed when Tankerminding as a /Time MM. Wasted power pool. You've got better tools in your secondary and better uses of your END that does the same thing. TP into spawn with TJ running (Aggro), drop Distortion Field under your feet (+More Aggro) and the -TOHIT, -DMG, -everything else you've just debuffed on that spawn means you are holding as much aggo as you did via Provoke AND hurting them to boot. With softcapped DEF (easy for a /Time without purples), you don't even have to bother with Bodyguard mode any further. I think I ran on Aggressive mode from late 30's till end of life of toon.

Below build provides following:

-Softcapped DEF to EVERYTHING BUT PSI for PVE content
-Softcapped to S/L/E/NE for iTrial content
-Psi DEF is at 42% so pretty near softcap for PVE

My Bots are 55%+ DEF to everything but Psi (38% there)

The above accomplished via several permas and IO bonuses:

-PermaHasten
-Perma ChronoShift
-Perma Powerboosted Farsight (that's ~20% DEF to EVERYTHING right there...was exploiting Enzymes for ~26% DEF boost, but just put in recharges now, still freaking awesome boost to DEF).
-Several bonuses from IO's
-The shield from Bots

I've not even added in the -TOHIT (which is virtually same as +DEF) from TJ.

I developed this playstyle first for me on my Bots/storm. It plays very much like Bots/Time except you get more defense and more heal/regen with /Time

Time Juncture has the slow and the other debuffs to grab the aggro. Nothing grabs aggro short of a tanker's taunt like slow and with distortion field to add to the hate, you should be good w/o provoke.

HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.

I'm just trying it out. I quite like provoke though. Gives me recharge and S/L. And provoke does = more agro. If you can suggest a way to get some more S/L (Trying to get the incarnate softcap), I can drop Provoke and get sumin else like hasten.

Anyway, that is my semi finalized build. Just needing feedback on provoke it seems.

I had provoke for a while on my nin/dark MM. Ninjas being significantly squishier than bots making provoke arguably a better fit for such a powerset compared to bots. I dropped it and don't miss it. All that really matters for my nin/dark is that I'm taking the alpha and not my pets, since after the alpha strike everything is debuffed to hell or stunned, at which point it doesn't really matter what they attack. You don't need provoke to do this. In a similar vein, Time buffed bots with enemies sitting in Time's juncture/distortion field shouldn't really mind taking aggro either.
