worse these days really,with huge games and accessable modding, Morrowind is still a viable option..now add the fact that 4 other bethesda games are out with active modding communities that update the game..and a good rpgish has hit every single month since september (minus january) and will be coming out till at least may (dragon dogma) and now a mmo issue...oy. wanna buy a recently barely used gym membership?

I don't buy the idea of a weekend update. Been done before, and the Devs suffered for it.

Quoting myself for the people who are still not clear that this post implies a specific date.

One galaxy far, far away already nabbed a lot of players. A massive effect is going to occur pretty soon too. They need the weekend.

Edit: Oh I see. GoT. It was pretty clear i22 was coming out March 6th already then >_>;. We don't need it rubbed in our faces.

ZOMG. GoT is CoH's arch rival!

Meh. Not big enough of a Bioware fanboy to grab Mass Effect 3 right off the bat like I did Skyrim.

Actually it couldn't make more sense that they'd wait to stand Issue 22 up against ME3 if they tried. The only way to seriously blunt any "player drift" to another game is for this game to pony up some much anticipated new content on the exact same day.

Heck, even if Paragon Studios didn't have a new Issue ready to push out the door they probably would've come up with some amazing new deals in the Paragon Market or -something- to toss out there on March 6th.

It's got nothing to do with rivalry, it's got everything to do with the picture Zwill chose.

I didn't say "compete" directly. Obviously they are different games and the people who really want to jump on ME3 ASAP will probably still do so. I'm simply saying the negative impact to this game will likely be softened at least a little bit by having something that will draw people -back- to this game ASAP.

EDIT: People seem to forget that Paragon Studios did the exact same thing for Age of Conan. They tossed out Issue 12 (the one that gave us Cimerora) on the exact same day that game launched.
