You're correct that Domination doesn't affect VG. The lockdown proc works very nicely in it however. Each time one of the pseudopets fires its hold it will roll a chance to proc. You'll see it proc very often in VG. And the pet does benefit from enhancement (hold duration and accuracy). The longer its holds become the more often you will see them overlap and hold bosses.
Yeah, in general, pseudopet powers inherit the benefits of enhancements and *some* buffs, but not things like set bonuses (iirc) or domination.
Procs in VG work pretty well, too. Most powers like that would only have a chance to fire procs every 10 seconds, but thanks to the weird psuedopets-using-click-powers nature of VG, hold set procs have a chance to go off roughly every 3.5 seconds (on average) instead. The purple damage proc ought to be dang good, and the regular damage procs wouldn't be bad either if you have room for them. Lockdown is probably somewhat overkill as the power is already pretty good at holding even bosses (assuming good hold slotting so they can stack), but it's definitely not a waste either. If you wanted to use the purple set I'd probably go with all but the pure hold and then stick one of the psi hold procs or the lockdown proc in the last slot.

on my earth fire dom i have VG slotted with 4 slots basilisk gaze and the lockdown proc, it works VERY nicely and i have enough rech to keep the patch out near permanently

Is Volcanic Gasses affected by Domination? I was on a EHTF tonight, and maybe I just missed it, but it didn't appear to have any effect. It certainly didn't pop up "Domination", like Immobilizes did. Is VG immune to Domination because it's a pseudopet, or am I just missing something?
If VG does ignore Domination (IE: I'm not imagining things), does this mean that the Lockdown proc would also be a futile use of a slot?
Since I'm asking questions, does this also mean that Mids is correctly showing that 5-slotting Unbreakable Constraint has no effect? >.>
