Thought Experiment . . . leveling 1 to 50 through 40 AE missions

I started looking for a new project the other day and thought: "What if I could level from 1 to 50 just running AE missions that were specifically designed for that character." Essentially an origin story followed by a set of stories establishing the character and his (or her) nemesis and/or rogues gallery. Or, to put it another way, the first 40 issues of that character's comic.

The 40 issues comes from the limit of eight arcs with a maximum of five missions each.

Now I know that I can get from 1 to 50 in a few runs of CEBR or other farms. But while I have nothing against farms, the goal is to level exclusively by playing only 40 AE missions once each. That said, I have no qualms making the later missions farm-like with lots of enemies and ambushes.

Do you think that it is possible?

If so, how would you suggest setting up the missions?

If not, how many levels do you think I could get in 40 missions?

If I made this into a contest with significant prizes (billions in infamy, ultra rare IOs, etc.) would I get a decent turnout of submissions?

I really like the idea, but I don't think it's possible to get 1-50 in 40 missions, even with enormous kill-all maps. There just aren't enough foes. So you're going to end up either coming up short, or being forced to replay parts of it.

I think it's going to be very hard to do exactly what you're proposing. Getting someone else to write your origin story, for example, is probably a minefield waiting to be traipsed through.

On the other hand you never know until you throw those billions of inf on the table and see who goes for it.

Those billions would have to be enough to get people to use up one of their arc slots or buy another one, I 'd think... I gather a lot of us old-hands here have used up our slots.

I'm currently up to my eight and I'm not about to buy another one - pay for a slot in a system that's needs so much love and is getting flat-out ignored?! No way! So if I were to consider this, it would mean replacing one of my arcs or biting the bullet and accepting a pile of inf in exchange for my scruples... um, so how much are we talking about again?

I think you'd have to do at least 50 arcs (assuming each was 5 missions) to level up, assuming you ramp the difficulty up as you level. Though there's a good chance that won't be enough, either.

You'd need to let people know what kind of arcs you're looking for. Whether you want arcs that actually tell a story or just enough story to give a reason for the action. Not to mention how much of a challenge, whether EBs/AVs should be common, rare, or nonexistent.

It would be kind of cool to have an arch-nemesis character behind some of the arcs, whom you learn about over time and somewhere down the road get to finally confront.

I hope you do this, I'd love to see how it turns out, though I think finding writers is going to be the tough part.

@Doctor Gemini

Arc #271637 - Welcome to M.A.G.I. - An alternative first story arc for magic origin heroes. At Hero Registration you heard the jokes about Azuria always losing things. When she loses the entire M.A.G.I. vault, you are chosen to find it.

Thanks for the response. I could use my existing slots and buy the others. I have an arc or two that I made when MA first came out but I'm not attached to them. As I understand it, I would need someone to email me the files and then I could load them and publish them. If my understanding is mistaken, I would be happy to be corrected.
