Statesman has fallen.
Dark powers rise.
Shadows dance gleefully in the dark.
The dead god Mot claws at his grave.

One heart, tempered in fire and in steel, stands ready to take up the mantle of the Greatest Of Us, to lead the Phalanx and Heroes alike into battle...



...but first, he needs a nap.

...and, realistically, a solid diaper change.

(Felt like sharing. MiniTurg turned 2 months old this week. Cape gifted by @ObsidianLight and crafted by @Layla Rei (who's hugely talented and makes dolls too!).

(Thanks to everyone for helping me get Layla's name right! )

YES, thank you!! I was going nuts last night after writing up the post, looking for the card insert that was included in the gift delivery - but the maids had come by yesterday and moved everything around, and I all I got out of my remembering was "Lyra", "Lyla", "Larry", etc, none of which searched correctly.

D'awww!

This made me remember when my kids were that small.

...Then it made me remember when my grandkids were that small.

I used to fiddle with my back feet music for a black onyx. My entire room absorbed every echo. The music was . . . thud like. The music was . . . thud like. I usually played such things as rough-neck and thug. Opaque melodies that would bug most people. Music from the other side of the fence.
