I really miss Andy as he was pretty much perfect for this role. It sucks that he lost his life as he received his most worthy praise.

Does the new guy pretty closely match Andy visually? If it's too jarringly different, it'll feel different for me, even if the rest of the show is on par with the other season/series.

You know, I really liked the first season. I did not care for this premiere. Haven't really processed the whys and hows, I just really didn't like it. I don't think it has to do with the new actor playing Spartacus, but it might be it plus some other things.

I really like this series. It's both beautiful and brutal. Something that kinda ick'ed me was the deathmasks in that Praetor's office area. It's a wonderful touch, but just the idea of those things don't sit well with me.
Won't go into too much detail being mindful of the Teen rating as well as giving away spoilers. Great Season opener. I of course, miss Andy Whitfield but Liam Mcintyre does a great job carrying the lead and even though he brings his own flair to the character, he still maintains the momentum of the story in a very consistent way. Every bit as gripping as the previous seasons, I think everyone who's a fan will thoroughly enjoy.
