Savior of Atlas Badge

For non-lowbies the only way to get this badge is through Oro crystals, just like many badges. My question is, is this arc bugged or was it meant to be a pain in the ***? By that I mean, if you try to do the Aaron Thiery arc, "Reason to Fight" you get this message: You and everyone on your team must not be on Aaron Thiery's story arc, must have completed Sondra Costel or Officer Fields's story arc, and be over level 7 to flashback to Aaron Thiery's story arc.

So then if you try to do the Officer Fields "No more Fears" arc you will get this message: You and everyone on your team must not have Officer Fields' story arc as an active arc, must have completed Matthew Habashy's arc, and be over level 7 to begin his flashback.

And Sondra's arc is called "Lay Down Your Burdens" and gives you this message as well: You and everyone on your team must not have Sondra Costel's story arc as an active arc, must have completed Matthew Habashy's arc, and be over level 7 to begin her flashback.

Thus leading you to a 4th arc to try. The Matthew Habashy arc is called "What was Lost" and I could accept it. And after completing it I was able to accept either Sondra or Fields arcs, but still could not do the Aaron arc. But once I finished the Field's arc, I was finally able to access the Aaron arc and do the missions in order to get the Savior of Atlas badge, but only after completing the other 2 arcs first. That makes sense if I was low level and doing it then and in order, but seems silly just to get a badge through the Oro crystal. Am I wrong here? Was it meant to be done this way or is it a bug???

It seems silly to me to need to do 1 arc to gain access to 2 other arcs and have to do one of those 2 to get access to a third arc, all of this just to get to the Atlas Savior badge, which is why I am doing the Aaron arc in the first place. I mean other Oro arcs skip things to allow you to get some badges in a single mission...Just seems to me that this has to be a bug, I understand the sequence for normal game play, but the oro is supposed to allow us to skip previous arcs needed to access others in order to get badges........... I've already completed this 3 arc process via the Oro crystal, but if it can get fixed others wont have the same trouble as I did, because there is no info in the description saying that you must complete another arc before this one. And if it stays the way it is a note of which mission to access via Oro crystal would be helpful.

I went through the normal process of filing a petition and was told to go talk to someone on here. I don't use this site much, so was not sure where to post. But a bug report area seems the likely place to start.

Keith Nance and Jenni Adair work the same way, in fact I don't believe Adair's arc will even appear in Ouro until you've completed Nance's.

I think it is done this way because of the "combat phasing" technology that these arcs employ. Completing one of these arcs, even in Oro, permanently changes Atlas Park for you, in terms of which contacts you can see standing around and what enemies spawn while you're in certain areas. It may be a technological limitation that you have to do the arcs in order. (But if you can finish through Aaron Thiery and then go BACK and re-do, say, Matthew's arc, I don't think 'technological limitation' would be an adequate explanation). It may also be that the devs are trying to enforce a particular "continuity" to the arcs.

That and while seperate contacts and each part has it's own name, they are essentially one huge arc.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.

Exactly. It's not completing the Aaron arc that nets you the badge, it's completing the entire set of arcs, which form one over-arching story about Atlas Park in the aftermath of the Galaxy incident. Plus the story for Aaron's arc makes absolutely no sense if you haven't played Matthew's arc first, so it's likely to avoid confusion for players who haven't ever played the arc before.

I bet this is why two of my characters who did not have any missions in Faultline or Talos (other than Nance, Adair, & Cooling) cannot access any of the missions in Ouroboros. This wasn't a problem until after they went live with Freedom.
