Okay, not an Infinity player. But several should be along in short order to point you at several of Infinity's public channels.
Help really isn't meant to be used the way it is. However, with the chat restrictions on freebie accounts, it's been co-opted for that. Hoping the devs can do something about that in a future update.

As for what's being played when, I'll let one of the Infinity regulars give you the skinny on that.
Also note that some cross-server community events happen as well. Like Tanker Tuesdays. These are opportunities to meet people from other servers, play with them, and tank the hell out of any and everything.

People use those to make teams of all levels, but unfortunately, you will discover that a certain percentage of players are concentrating on level 50 Incarnate content - that's the same on all servers BTW.
But there are still some of us out there making new lower level alts and playing that content, even some of the players who are also enthusiastically running the iTrials who need to take a break.
Infinity is my server for heroes, so I probably won't be seeing you until you get high enough to play some of the co-op content....

I had started on the Hero side as well, but one of my friends really wanted to play a villain and the backgrounds of my characters (partially based on Mutants and Masterminds pen-and-paper characters) were flexible enough to go along with that. (Yes I do care about the character description, we do decide what missions to do and how based on it. I also try to read it on other players).
I am planning to get to the level 50 content at some point, but it will be a while. I've been a high level raider in WoW for several years. (any guesses how much time it would take a first time player?) For now I just want to fool around though.
My highest level is 18 now, I hope we can do the second part of the Signature Story Arch soon.
We've also been making alts, as we discovered that each counts towards the size of the Supergroup base. Making alts is a lot of fun in this game, as the character creation is such a big part of it.
Any more advice is welcome. I've been reading the Paragon wiki as well, any other sources of information I should know about?
As a VIP player, all you have to do is right click your chat window and select "Join" or "search for channel" and then type in the name of the one you want, or search of the name of one.

Some have been said before, and Infinity Incarnates is mostly for the higher level incarnate stuff, but as Ad said, people get tired of running iTrials over and over. There are various weekly events, mostly posted here, and mostly Hero side. There are a few lower lever Strike forces that are great fun, and if you wanted to get one together, here is a good place to post the date and time. I would help more, but I am sadly not familiar with villain side as much. Welcome and Have Fun!

We've decided to move everything over to the Union server, as we're all based in the EU. We mostly have VIP accounts, so it wasn't a big deal.
