It is obviously built towards fightclub/melee characters, was just leaving the option open for anyone who wanted to bring a ranged toon as there are plenty that give melee (and any) characters good fights. I was not trying to be elusive with the way I described the tournament, I was just explaining the rules as I thought they should be.

Most ranged players would just see this as a waste of time, and even if any do participate, they will just get trampled by all the decked out fightclub builds.

i'm saving my little dickmove for when there's more entries.
I think a therm MM would dominate this tournament assuming heal decay is off and a dark/poison is probably one of the few squishies that would stand up to melee toons inside the cage.

Hello PvPers!
Start off the year right with some CoH PvP! On Monday, January 2nd, there will be a PvP tournament held on Freedom at 6 pm ct, 7 pm est. Each character participating in the event must pay a 50 million influence entry fee.
Rules:
- All matches will be set in the Cage Match map in the arena.
- They will be heavyweight matches lvl 47-50.
- All archetypes are allowed.
- Players must stay inside the cage during the entire match.
- Will be no HD, no TS.
- All incarnates are allowed.
- All accolades are allowed.
- There will be no use of inspirations.
- There will be no use of ANY temporary powers.
- Matches will go 15 minutes with SD mode. (To prevent any unending matches)
- Winners progress through the bracket, and losers are out.
In the end, the winner of the tournament will take home the pot (the total of all the buy-ins) plus an additional 500 mill, so be sure to tell your friends about the tournament!
Post below with your Global Name (ex. @PvP Tactics), and the name of the character you wish to enter.
