IO set plus Boosters alternative to HO's?

I just wanted to know if any of you have tried this yet. For powers that need either recharge defense or resistance endurance have any of you tried using a franken slotted set with enhancement boosters so that you would get close to what you get using just HO's? While I know it wont work with every power this does make it a cheaper alternative in many powers.

Basically, though Enzymes are still miles ahead for defense powers (I'm gonna put a level 50+5 Dark Watcher's Despair ToHit Debuff/End in darkest night on my Brute and maybe Widow).

Is that Enzyme Exposure with the 33% defense debuff? Isn't that an exploit? I thought Castle posted it was?

As long as you consider boosters ($) cheaper than HOs (inf), yes. I do, personally, but some might not.

Yes, it's an exploit, but not one that they seem particularly keen on fixing, nor that they seem to want to punish people for. Someday it may go away, and we'll really have no right to complain when it does.

IIRC its a known bug that the devs decided to leave in as an added feature given that IOs have set bonuses to compete with HOs.

I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.

I thought it was also commented to be a significantly difficult fix, doubtfully worth the dev time.
