I'd agree to such a place, I'm guilty of posting looking-for-member messages myself, but they're always well-worded and not spammed repeatedly each spot fills (Seriously, is it too much just to have a Looking-for & Full announcement?)
I'd imagine it would get as much RMT bother as help but eh, that's not going to change soon. It might require a new chat channel, but considering how many little chat-mode buttons we have, it'll be hard to show off the new button to players who don't check patch notes or announcements

I've no objections to it, but it won't do any good. Freebs will still use it to look for teams just like other players still use Help to have non help related conversations, and the spammers will abuse any channel they get access to.
The devs would probably be better off just changing the name of the help channel to something else that way people will stop getting upset over the Freebs using it to look for teams.
Personally, I never understood why a general-purpose server-wide channel has never existed. Even before Global chat, the tech was still there. Questions of who gets to use it MIGHT arise (though if they didn't for Arena and Help...), but that's besides the point that such a channel SHOULD exist. In fact... Why is Broadcast not server-wide? Or Request? They're essentially the same channel but with different names and text colours. Kill one and remake it into a server-wide channel, instead.
Yes, Free players and spammers may still keep trying to use Help, but at least we'll be able to direct them to the proper channel, instead.

I think they should remove the need for LFG messages entirely if they are ST/TF/trails. My post is what I think they should do with the existing LFG tab. this post shows what it should look like. Trials would mainly show the lst 2 pics

No more LFG spamming ... except to tell people to look in LFG ... MAYBE. LFG would be a hub for active events. on a busy day ... it would take seconds to go from starting to form a team to starting the missions.
Since low-tier freebie players have limited to no chat ability (they can't join the global LFG channels for their given server) but they can talk in /Help, the "Help" channel has become a sort of de facto LFG channel for these players' participation. This can have the effect of drowning out actual requests for help by players in need of it under a wave of LFG requests that really shouldn't be there, and wouldn't if there were a similar resource free players could use instead.
Please create a "LFG" channel with similar properties to /Help in that it can be used by everyone and easily accessed via a tab and command. This will give the LFGers a place to go.
