If you could right-click the pet, get a list of the villain types in the zone, select one and the dog would find one.

I mostly play my Stone Tank. Sometimes I get a little disoriented in cave maps ex: Council, CoT etc.
The day the dog came out was SG night and we did a Moonfire. One of our SG members is a dog lover and had points. I got lost a lot till I realized I could follow the dog. MUCH hiliarity ensued as the 'seeing eye' pet led the poor confused tank to battle.
