So I have a question that the FAQs dont seem to fully answer. I've tried the search but didnt find it, im a bad searcher anyway. So here is my question. I started as f2p and then created one toon under that. Then i went to vip and then created a second toon. I would like to keep my second toon but from what im told both slots get locked and i have to make a toon. Is this right? Also does it matter if the are both rogues? should i switched them back to the original side they where on?
Thanks for you answers in advance

1) F2Pers get two slots to make characters on. VIPs get more, but then once you go back to being a Premium player (since you were once subscribed), you go back to only having two slots.

2) Once you go back to Premium, all of your slots will be locked, and you can choose to unlock 2 characters. These can be any that you can access.

3) As such, if they are in Praetoria, which I'm not sure if you have access to, or they are Controllers/Masterminds/Kheldian/Arachnos Soldiers/Widows, you shouldn't be able to unlock them, and you'd have to unlock a new slot and make a new character.

4) It doesn't matter if they're not on their original side or not.

Without having expressly acquired basic praetoria access via the market or a box of Going Rogue, I think he'd loose access to anyone in Praetoria not visiting, so if your playing a character in there get them out if going prem.

As for alignment - you (without buying the system somehow) will be locked into your alignment once you go premium but other than that nothing bugs your alignment.

Actually, the game will still let you unlock that slot. (Or would as of early October, at any rate.) If you attempt to unlock a slot for which you do not own the expansion/archetype/powerset, your server slot will be locked in, but that character will still be unplayable until you have purchased the other prerequisites.

I don't recommend this course of action, obviously...

I'm new-ish. Again.

So I started out standered heroe and moved to vig, should I switch back to
Hero?

Hmmm, excellent question. I am guessing that premium players are allowed to play vigilantes and rogues, but not to actively change alignment.

But that's a shot in the dark; I have no evidence whatsoever...

This seems reasonable.

As a vigilante, you won't be able to actively start any missions other than Tips or Radios when you're not on your "home" side, but that's not too big of a deal.

For a Premium player that did not buy access top Going Rogue separately, staying a vigilante or rogue may be the best option if you are allowed to play that way.

A) You get access to more of the game than a pure hero or villain. B) You won't be able to earn Hero or Villain merits anyway, so the major reason to stay a hero or villain is eliminated.

I don't know if you will be allowed to do it that way, but if you are, staying a vigilante will be beneficial to you.

I agree with everything ClawsandEffect said and that is my recommendation as well.
