Beam Rifle Powerset problem?

I'm confused about something. I already unlocked the Beam Rifle Powerset, on one of the Game Servers. Shouldn't doing that have unlocked it for all servers? I thought that it would. Do I have to buy it on each Game Server? Any help is, as always, appreciated.

Yeah, unlocking a powerset is account-wide, not limited to any one server. There might be something else going on. Obvious questions first:

- Do you have multiple accounts, and perhaps you unlocked Beam Rifle on a different account?
- Maybe your outfit is using a costume piece you haven't bought on this account?
- Do you have an unlocked and unused character slot?

Tell us a little more info. Like, at which point in the character creation screen are you getting stopped?

Triplash? I get stopped, right when I pick my powersets. According to what you said, it should be unlocked, on all servers. Plus, I only have one account.

Yeah, that is weird. What's the archetype, and the other powerset you're trying to pick?

I am trying to pick the Blaster Archetype, and, as a secondary powerset, Devices.

Wow, neither Blaster nor Devices is restricted in any way... that really is odd.

You said you unlocked it on another server. Did you make a Beam Rifle character there already, or is this the first one you've tried?

Just to scratch this off the possible reasons... when you say servers are you including the test and beta servers? Because both of those are separate from the live servers. if you bought it on beta, you won't get access to it on the live servers, and vice versa.

I already made one, with the Beam Rifle Powerset, with Devices as a secondary, on either Union or Defiant. I'm working on these two Game Servers, at the moment. The other of these two Game Servers, is the one I apparently do not have it unlocked on. Plus, I only play on the live servers. Plus, I just remembered, that I bought the Beam Rifle Powerset, originally, during Character Creation. Could that have caused a problem, or is this a possible bug?

I suppose it could be a bug. But you've been playing the other character just fine, right? Seems to me a bug like that would have showed with the first character, not the second.

Any chance you can take a screenshot from inside the character creator? Seeing just how it's denying things might help.

Triplash? It has the padlock icon on it. It shouldn't, right? And the character that already has the Beam Rifle Powerset, is doing just fine!

Wow! Yeah, that is definitely a bug then. I can't think of any way that one character can have Beam Rifle but it would be locked for other characters afterward.

That's one to take up with Customer Support, for sure.

This issue is full of bugs, I have a bunch of friends who have characters that are locked out (all of them with Market-only powersets, e.g. Street Justice, Beam Rifle, etc.) even if other characters of theirs with the same powerset(s) are not locked out.

Try quitting the game, staying out for a few minutes, then logging back in. This forces a refresh of your account data in the market system.

If that doesn't work, send a /petition ingame.

Ouch... This patch is just terrible...
After reading this thread, I remembered seeing another thread of a somewhat similar issue, but they can't log in with an existing Street Justice character.

I'm having the same problem that's being discussed in this thread. After purchasing Beam Rifle during its sale for 400 points, I think I tested it out with one character first and haven't checked it since, since I expected it to be there at a later date...

The only server it's available on currently is Exalted. Pretty odd. I can haz bugfix?
