2011 CoH FPS Meet & Eats!
It was great seeing the usual faces again as well as new faces at the Summit. All the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Had a great time and can't wait for next year.
*hugs all around to the Justice gang*
It was terrific seeing you guys again! (And meeting Turg!) Sorry I wasn't able to join you guys on Fri night/Sat morning, but Sat lunch and Sun breakfast was worth it.
BTW, John (Bloodspeaker) thanks everyone for the well-wishes, and hopes to be there for the next get together!

I'll have to second Dramen's thanks to Arbiter Warrant. One of the things I most look forward to each year is the Bacon Waffles at Holder's. The OPH Bacon Waffles were better than the ones at Stacks last year (not much of a compliment since anything would beat those) but they come nowhere close to those at Holder's.
Thanks also to Red Gren for once again coming through with meet and eat plans. You rock. Although now that you know that Schaub's needs to always be part of the meal plans somewhere along the way I'll expect it to be included. Maybe next time I'll be leave room for the desert at the shop near it where we went to get Meg warmed up Friday.
I have a few pictures to post, but it will have to wait until I can have time and parts to troubleshoot my PC. It was dead when I got home. Guess I shouldn't have turned it off for the trip after all.
It was great seeing all of the Justice folks again that made it and finally getting to put a face to the name Callie Sunshine. Also, although I'm sure I'll leave someone out, it was also great meeting artphobia, crayhal, Tony V (yes, the Tony V from Titan Network), Ninus (the other Tony), Turgenev, newchemicals, Pollyanna Morphic (I hope I got the name right) and so many others that I'm forgetting.
I'd like to give a special thanks to The Net for joining us at the Friday night dinner at Vive Sol.
And of course, thanks go to Black Pebble for being our Red Name presence at the Saturday night dinner table. We should have ordered chicken.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
TJ, Getting Meg warmed up just sounds so dirty.

Such a great time! I hope I get to spend more time with the Justice folk the next time we meet up. Special thanks to Pollyanna Matronic for her extemporaneous dancing, to Texas Justice for really making me smile with your warmth and kindess, to Ninus for his great humor, to Turgenov for being my absolute ideal of the perfect scientific voice (if they ever need a scientist voice-over, you would be awesome for it!) and for all the great questions you asked, and to Scat for agreeing to go with me and spending the day looking after me - it was great to finally meet you in person.
I got to sit at the dinner table with David Nakayama, his beautiful wife, and one of the best-behaved and cutest babies ever. It was an absolute delight talking to him about his art - his passion for his craft is evident and wonderfully energizing! Thanks, David; I am really looking forward to seeing the stuff you have planned for us actually come to life!
Thanks for the smiles, everybody!
And, I've uploaded my photos from the weekend to Flickr. I didn't take nearly enough pictures. I'm not used to having a camera with me. There is even a slideshow of the photos.
Hopefully others will share their pictures as well.

Well... the planning's easier now! Holder's & Schaub's permanent additions to the list! I may have to try the meatball sandwich now though, it sure smelled good! My aunties have introduced me to another "Japanese" restaurant that I think folks might like (FYI they're the one's that introduced me to Kubota in J-Town) but I think it was a bit too far from the Pummit to go this year. So it's something to think about for next year (assuming there is a next year.) Price-wise & what's available on the menu-wise I think lunch is a better time to go... (I love their bento boxes! & they have a pretty extensive sushi & sashimi menu for those that are into that. Sigh... there may just not be enough enough lunch times... )
It was fun all, good food! OPH was great, I loved the 15 foot cell phone call from Turg.
Edit: Sorry I couldn't meet you all at Holders on Sunday, I was a bit too drained from the long saturday. Thanks to Red for the ride for the fred's steak, it was really good.
