Reconsider the no Hib/Phase for Ice Tankers

I'd support Ice Tankers getting Icy Bastion, but I doubt it'll happen.
Yeah, it'd be nice if Hibernate for Tankers was exempted from the NoPhase thingy. (Or just give my Tanker the option to take Icy Bastion instead.)

I think the short recharge on Tanker Hibernate is enough to distinguish it from the pool powers. If you need to be using Hibernate every 30-45 seconds as some have suggested in this thread I'd venture to guess you aren't using your other powers effectively. Ice should barely be taking hits to begin with, you have Tanker HP, and you are able to use a self-heal/HP boosting power pretty frequently if you have decent recharge. If I were going to make an Ice Tanker, I might not even take Hibernate.

If you don't need to using it that frequently then removing the timer would literally have no effect at all for you.
You should really think that no one has said they need this 45 second issue. My Ice tankers are all very well built and play them well. That is still irrelevant to the issue at hand. What I am and many others are saying is that the timer no hib/no phase for Ice tankers need to go away or modified to something else.
I am the OP and I have not mentioned nothing about PvE and PvP stats. "These are not the droids you are looking for" |

Sadly, they can't separate all the stats. They can separate the things that a power does to its targets, but they can't change certain other aspects, like end cost, max number of targets, or activation time. (Well, they probably could change activation time now, with what the tech introduced with Titan Weapons.)
CoH separated it's PvE and PvP stats in issue 13. PvE and PvP have been two completely separate games ever since and have no relation to each other. This means that any nerfs that occured in PvE were do to PvE concerns only and cannot be laid at PvPs feet, as much as some people would love to do that.

I don't think that factors into the specific example of Hibernate and "nophase", however.

This is not personal, Vauluur. There is no "I need this or I need that" philosophy in this request to the Devs or this suggestion for the Devs. What I need is irrelevant in this whole discussion. It should be left out.

This is for Ice tankers, for the armor set. I also want to insert a small but true point, Ice Armor for tankers and the powers in it, especially the cool Tier 9 power of it, needs to be separated and treated differently than the pool power.
Hibernate has been given out to almost every single AT. It should be different when coming from a pool power and it should be different when it is an inherent Tier 9.
Another point, there are many players who do not have IOs or have a decked out Ice Armor tank. Those with no IOs or not decked out might have different "needs" (you used that word) or wants than those who do. I prefer to use the word function or application of a Tier 9 within their game play, and even use the word option. Let the function, application, or option of a Tier 9 power be different than that of a pool power which almost every single AT has.
Do away with the no phase/no hib timer for Ice tankers is what I suggest the Devs do. Some others want the whole no phase/no hib timer gone completely.

Make all IO's available in Paragon Market! NCSoft, the chinese are making BIG money selling influence and other stuff in the game. Best way to stop them = make the paragon market a place to buy all IO's and perhaps other things as well.

I have always...disliked...this argument. It assumes that any situation that arises wherein it would be beneficial to use Hibernation often* is just bad playing on the player's part. That is just plain not true, especially for a defense set that relies on the Random Number Generator to survive. I don't see how <insert any AV/GV/EB/Etc.> getting lucky with their hard hitting attacks makes me a bad player.
If you need to have Hibernate up every 45 seconds as a Tank, the problem is not Hibernate. You should really look at your build/playstyle if your Tank is burning through that many hit points that fast.

Like everything Castle did to PvP the nophase should be taken out of the game, vigourously beated with sticks and then shot
