Need advice, I think after almost 5 years is time I make a /Claws character.
I think about Brute, with /SR or /FA... Not sure.
Any advice?

Depends on what you're looking for. If you want to get to 50 ASAP, you can always just go with a brute with a dam aura and PL to 50 in a day and a half. But for performance, I would suggest a set that doesn't require a whole lot of clicking, because redraw bugs me. So WP or Invuln would work, as well as SR, though the mez toggle is up quite often.

I have a claws/energy aura brute that I love. I like EA slightly more than SR due to energize and energy drain to give you more tools than SR. As for scrapper vs brute, I prefer brute. Spin is so much better on a brute than a scrapper, the brute high end dps output is nigh identical to the scrapper version, and brutes are more survivable and have better epic pools.

Although noticeably less frequent.

True, but it still recharges plenty fast with entropic aura.

Not really sure what to tell ya here. Never made a /Claws toon. Tried a couple of Claws/ toons tho.

Serious Answer:

I never really got all that far with Claws, personally. And i've never had much success with /Energy Aura, either, though I've read that it can be rather decent. With the new +Recharge from Entropic Aura (as mentioned above), combined with the already fast recharging attacks from Claws...I could see this as turning into a One-Toon Slaughterhouse with the potentially constant, or should i say MORE constant, assault.

I didnt made my mind yet...
Not sure whats better... /WP, /SR... Or maybe a damage aura like /Elec armor.
Regen is too clickie... So I think /WP and /SR are my best options.

I'll throw my Claws/Willpower Brute at any challenge.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

a brute, for its pbae.

for a secondary, I'd choose:

-Fiery aura for damages/farm
-ElecA for Incarnate trial tanking (but it can be very expensive)
-DA for the fun !
-EA for a cheap balanced secondary

English isn't my birth language, so don't blame me if I do some mistakes. thank you !

I have a Claws/WP scrap that I've had a great time playing... I haven't run into much so far (He's 43-) that did more than slow him down. I bet a brute with that power-set combination would do pretty well for himself, too.

I farm with my Claws/SR scrapper, and love it. Serious damage output from the get go to the end of the mish with no need to warm up the fury bar. Scary durable to almost everything. Wade in vs toxic and not care. Psy enemies, don't care. End drain, don't care. Debuffs, don't care. All the things that usually piss me off or make me slow down I can just ignore.

That said, full disclosure, I don't have a Claws/SR Brute at 50 to compare it head to head. May have to add that to my 'to-do' list.
