I'll take "Things that go with electric armor" for $200, Alex

Every so often I get the urge to dish out some revenge, and I'm thinking about an electric armor tanker very specifically so it can go fight robots and Freakshow. Revenge, revenge, puncheminnaface, and all that. I just want to see what it feels like to dish out a lot of endurance draining.

Would I be best off pairing that up with electric melee, or would something else be just as revengeful or maybe even more so?

Super Strength is pretty much an awesome set to go with just about anything. SS's endurance issues from rage crashing is solved by ElA's endurance tools. It's a pretty neat set

funny thing, I have a tanker with this build that names "Alex Vernes"

If you want blue bar revenge, you need Electric Melee. Elec Armor by itself can empty end bars, but not so easily keep them too low for the enemies to attack.

However, the end drain Interface coming in i21.5 might change that... I don't know the numbers on it.

and just think about the new end mod/Recharge/def Alpha.

it helps you getting the softcap, and boost your end drain + your recharge !!!

Dark Melee is also a fun pairing. The heal in the attack chain helps bolster the resistance basis of the set a ton.

You pretty much have to go pyre to get any meaingful aoe,... but once you do.... fun, fun, fun

City of Heroes was my first MMO, & my favorite computer game.

Thanks, all.

Slaad, out of curiosity, what would you do for the kid brother version of that in SOs?

of course.

I'd go for something like this:

since you can't rely on defense with SO, make heavy use of endurance drain to lower the incoming damages

a bit less traditional, might be to go Elec/Ice. No, you're not setting kill records with it, but it should be a dang fine tank. Fully tricked out, it can look something like this... inconthievable.

I've been taking a Elec/Titan Weapons tank through low levels on beta and Titan Weapons seems like a great tanking set. Defensive sweep is the tier one, so your required bruising attack will also give you defense and is also a good AoE. Bruising only affects the target of the cone, not everyone you hit, but still the best tier 1 Tank attack imo.

You pretty much have to go pyre to get any meaingful aoe,... but once you do.... fun, fun, fun
I second DM.

I went with MU on my Elec/DM tank. You get 2 AOEs without having to take other powers to get them. Fireball is great from pyre but I hate having to take two other powers from that epic pool to unlock it.

I second this.

I'd consider going with Elec/MA/Mu.

- It's smashing damage, which usually hits robots harder.
- Storm Kick has a 10% perma defense buff built in, making soft capping that much easier.
- Dragon's Tail is a nice AoE, and you can use Focus Chi and Eagle's Claw before it for a nice damage boost.
- Going with Mu, as mentioned, gives you more AoE off the bat. Plus one of them is an AoE Immobilize, which will keep things in Lightning Field for more drainy goodness.

slaad - I have been wanting to roll up an Electric Armor tanker for a while now and like the look of your build...just have one question:

The build looks pretty tight slot-wise...do Rage and Footstomp (looooove it on my Brute) provide sufficient damage output (given that most attacks are just 4 slotted for the defense boost from kinetic combat) for someone that likes to solo?

I really enjoy the fact that I can wade into groups and survive on my tankers but tend to get a little annoyed at the damage output at times.
