Suggestion: Alignment Altering zone events
yes but maybe more like a 1/4 of one at most. the main problem I see with this is it could really mess with contacts and a smaller problem of what it would do to things like badges.
I'm all for more zone events, especially ones like those in Praetoria. They're so fun. Just wish there was more motivation to do them.
I don't see why completling a zone event wouldn't count as much for progress towards a side as completing an appropriate tip mission.

You know what I love about Going Rogue? The fact that the underground war and the factions and the moral ambiguity of Praetoria showed in the zone events. Several of the early-level zone events have two different sides people taking part can choose from.
You know what I hate about Going Rogue? There's only one, very strict way to choose alignments. Alignment missions. In Praetoria, The Rogue Isles, and Paragon City, there's no slow, subtle slide one way or the other. One mission and BOOM you're on the other side.
In Primal earth it's a bit more subtle with the ten missions per side-switch but in Praetoria it's the choice you make on one mission that changes your side. What would be very nice is a way to supplement the tip/alignment mission system with things to do out in the open world.
My idea are zone events like the Great Escape and the Protest in Praetoria. Players taking part can pick a side and then perform the actions necessary for "success" on either side. When they complete the necessary task they would acquire half of one alignment point.
Critiques and ideas are welcome.
