Suggestions for Hero Patrons
All those characters have the primaries and and secondaries that we already have access to. At least, the ones where we actually know their powers.
Issue 16 made me feel like this.
Warning: This poster likes to play Devil's Advocate.

No... we don't "all" want them. I, for one, want to feel less like a second banana to the signature characters, not more. I want to be Batman, not Robin. Captain America, not Bucky.
FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

I think that it shouldn't be members of the Phalanx. I think it should be Heroes that Lead organizations that help the city which would be similar to the Patrons who lead factions of Arachnos.
So Liberty for Longbow
Manticore for Wyvern (Yes Phalanx, but lets face it Manticore is a bad *** and deserves better)
Lady Grey for Vanguard
Blue Steel for PPD (Don't remember if he is Phalanx or not)
These IMO would be the best choices and would give abilities based off of the Hero Groups rather than the Heroes themselves to make it different from the Arachnos Patrons.
Just an idea.
Ya know, I had a suggestion on this not too long ago...click.

If Masterminds didn't suck, they'd be the most powerful AT in the game.

i think the suggestion for hero patrons was so that heros could have access to PPPs by giving you a quest line in which you steal the patrons power, ect
like BABs gives you the job of going after black scorpion and there would basically be like regular patron arcs doing 1 unlocks them all and they would basically get the hero version of the current patron badges to make things simpler there

I fully support this idea. Since it would require only some new missions and not any new powers it should be fairly simple to implement. And some of us just plain don't like having to make our heroes temporarily evil to get the PPP's the standard way.

I also support this idea. If villains can get access to capes by stealing one from a hero, then why not let higher level heroes do this? If you need a more heroic reason for it, a "keeping a level playing field"-type thing could work, either because it gives you some of the same powers they have, or because it weakens them when they were building their strength for a full scale invasion.

We know we all want them. But who should they be? To be honest, I don't actually have a good idea, but my character is standing in the longbow safe zone of the tutorial right now, and so I'll go ahead and list off all the signature heroes I see around me here. Surely that's a good starting point if we want to form a list of suitable potential patrons.
I see....
Statesman (of course, but Lord Recluse isn't a patron so probably Statesman shouldn't be either)
Positron
Manticore
Coyote
Numina
Lady Grey
Apex
Dark Watcher
Back Alley Brawler and Sister Psych are at the start, so probably they should be included in the list too.
That gives us 9 potential candidates, from which we might choose 4 as our recommendation. Which ones should they be? Which ones would give us the nifty-est powers? What kind of pseudo-henchman would they provide us with?
