No problem at all. I wasn't sure myself if pets were a in the equation or not.

Cool, for future runs I'll keep the imps in my pocket just to be sure.

A few notes:

After the last run, one person told me they saw someone hit by the beam, which explains why it failed.

I'm looking for feedback on this: Assuming we're not under time pressure, should we leave the terminals alone, regardless of whether we're trying for Loves a Challenge? The upside is that it's easy to dodge the beam when all we're doing is waiting for Anti-Matter to regenerate. The downside is we'd have a few more beams in combat to dodge, and a few Disintegration deaths could mean the whole trial fails.

On that note, I'm willing to add trying for Loves a Challenge to future runs if someone asks, as long as I think we have enough healing to make it work. Again, I'm open to feedback on this point.

Finally, it's looking good for me being able to make it Sunday after all (If you can't, I understand and will probably keep these going until we get Green Stuff on a non-holiday weekend.) I'll edit the first post, probably tomorrow, with updated information.

I haven't been on your badge runs, so take my feedback with a grain of salt.

The terminals at the first time stop aren't really a big deal since he is regenerating from 75%-100%, usually you only cut off his regeneration only shortly before he gets back to full. The 2nd I could see either approach workable, is everyone using lore pets to bring him down as fast as humanly possible, so that him regenning thru this one wouldn't be a huge deal? The 3rd one I would say definitely kill the terminals, since thats 75% of his hp, save judgments for terminals after the 3rd timestop to get through it as fast as possible and minimize the time you have to dodge oblits while killing terminals and minimize his regeneration so you can kill him as soon as possible after he comes out of the last regen cycle.

If time is not an issue, I'd say leave the terminals. I've seen too many people get caught in the corners on the first and third set of terminals, or 'scrapperlock' on them and lose sight of the beam.

Thank you, Shin and Amy, for your feedback.

I'm going to make leaving the terminals the default strategy, with taking them out becoming an option if time's becoming an issue.

I've reorganized the first post, with a lot of things rewritten. I'll go over it all on Sundays, as usual.

And in case it got lost with everything else in my last post: I am going again this Sunday, normal time.

Might be a good strategy to leave the terminals. The beam can cause problems when it's targeted behind the regen stations, as folks are probably zoomed in due to the cramped nature of the space, and don't see the targeting icon. Keeping everybody out in the open would make avoiding the beam easier, and less risky.

If we're not concerned with Loves a Challenge, we could also have lore pets summoned for extra damage, which would somewhat mitigate the extra time involved with letting AM fully regenerate.

We're close though, and confident we can nail this thing this weekend.

Q. Just wondering Posi, where are the new dance emotes we were told would come with GR?

Loves a Challenge, i.e., the terminals, isn't why I ask to hold Lore pets until called for; Lore pets have the Mastermind control panel and can be set to passive so they can be directed to attack Anti-Matter but then will automatically leave the terminals alone.

The reasons why I ask to hold Lore pets, in descending order:

• The more bodies and effects, the harder it is to see the beam. Some are worse for this than others. (Storm Elementals are horrible for this. I don't think I've ever even seen my scrapper's Drones.)
• Lore pets complicate stopping damage on Anti-Matter if needed to delay a time freeze till after a Beam.
• Although they don't count, when they get caught in the Beam does create a moment of panic. "Oh shi... oh. It's that stupid Vicky again."
• I'd rather hold the source of extra damage as a last resort.

Hmm...

We could use Lore pets to take out terminals while players dodge the Beam, then dismiss the pets when Anti-Matter's back up. Probably still not worth it to bother with the first station, so then maybe half the league would summon their pets for the second station, and the other half would summon their pets for the third station.

It's an idea, anyway. As long as nobody needs Loves a Challenge.

Looking forward to it. I'll be there, and I have a good feeling about our prospects for success.

Well, this is frustrating.

As far as anyone on the league can tell, we should have gotten it on the third run. So, we're sitting around waiting to see if a GM can come and either explain why we didn't or give us the badge.

We got Loves a Challenge again on the first run, and Anti-Anti-Matter on the third. I was going to do Bunker Buster on the fourth, but waiting on the petition means we're going to run out of time.

Regardless of the petition's outcome, I'm going again next week. (3:30 EST, Pocket D.)

For anyone waiting for news, I received an update an hour ago that said they're still looking into it and will get back to me when they know something. I'll post any further updates and encourage anyone else who learns something to do the same.

Also, some things that slipped my mind earlier that I'd like to say:

First, we've got this trial down solid. I don't recall a significant hiccup in any of today's three runs. Great job with that, everyone.

Second, after a few hiccups with it, I think we've gotten to the point where we can stop the time freeze from happening the same time the Beam fires. That was the last real problem we've had with Green Stuff, so even if we don't get it from the petition it's really just a matter of time.

Third, we did have one person get Master of Keyes for sure: Anti-Anti-Matter was the last badge Kadylin was missing. Congrats to her.

Finally. Hopefully Customer Service will see it our way and give us the badge(s), but even if they don't, as far as I'm concerned, we got that badge. We'll just have to go again another time and make it official

*I received an email saying they are gathering more info as well.

Gratz on Kadylin for the Master of Keyes!

Great leadership on running these Master runs Placta.

Got the same email, that they're still looking into it, also. So, hopefully this is a case of no news equals good news. I agree with Placta: we got Green Stuff on that last run, irrespective of our petition's results.

Edit to add: gratz to those who received badges from yesterday's run.

Lame. I'd really like to know who was determined to be in the beam. Because, none of us noticed it. None of us, despite close monitoring. I'm sorry, but I'm calling bollocks on the server logs.

Hello again,

I was able to determine from server logs that a member of your character's league was in the path of the Devastation Beam during the Keyes Island Trial last night. This is unfortunately the reason members of your league were not eligible for the Avoids the Green Stuff badge. As such, I cannot grant it to you by request.

If there's anything else, please let us know!

Best,

Yep, just got the same email. It's disappointing, and I'm not sure how all of us missed it.

Ah, well.

Yeah, it's a noggin-scratcher that's for sure. It was our third run, with 15 pretty tight knit folks, I'm certain any culprit would have fessed up. But, no one noticed any other person in the beam, and everybody was confident they'd avoided it. Makes no sense. I'd really like to see the server log info.

Maybe someone ran into the beam by accident, after it had started firing?

It's a puzzler.

I'll be back again on Sunday, but this inability to get Green Stuff is really starting to rub against the grain.
