Eggselent run Septipheran. Absolutely fantastic attempt.
Heh, thanks guys. I'm still surprised that we managed Bunker Buster, which is sort of complex to orchestrate.. And managed to miss Avoids the Green stuff, when all you have to do for that is, well, avoid the green stuff. Still, we had a great league and it was a smooth and fun trial. Thanks everyone for coming.
What is in store for December 10?

To be determined- I'm kinda hoping the new trial comes out this week with Titan Weapons... Maybe we can be the first ones to do it as a master run. (Unfortunately though, I know nothing about it... If it doesn't work out MoLAM should be next.)
It looks like we have a couple of new trials to work into the rotation.
I am going to give these a spin a few times this week and see if I can't get familiar enough with at least one of them to have a badge run this Friday.
Well we couldn't even succeed on an 'introductory' Minds of Mayhem run with no emphasis on badges. I'm sure that this is going to be the usual trend with Incarnate trials on our server, in that other servers will be doing Master runs by the time our whole population learns how to succeed on the trial. I've been doing both MoM and TPN successfully and even picked up a couple of badges on Virtue, but all of the explanation in the world isn't going to help our 'special cases' on Protector so I don't think these will be going into the rotation for a while.
That being said, next week will be Underground again... We missed Avatar Assassin last time we tried it, so I would honestly be up for just aiming for that and not worrying too much about the rest of the badge qualifications, if most of the people who come along are okay with that.
We also have yet to get Loves A Challenge and Avoids the Green Stuff from Keyes, so I'd like to set that one up next... With a comparable league from last time we did it, if possible.
I am in for whatever this weekend Missed the new trials as I was away last weekend, so I am for sure up for those too

Don't sell the server short just cos you can't succeed in something. Protector has some incredible players and we've managed to be first for quite a few things if memory serves...
Off the top of my head, I believe we were the first to get Master of Statesman's Task Force (and with a Trick Arrows Defender on the team, at that!) and the first to defeat the villain Hamidon.

It may be time to look for a new scapegoat.

I'm not really sure what you're talking about. I've run successful PuG Mom runs, and last night we did a PuG TPN and picked up 4 of the 5 badges for MO in the first run. As a side note before that run i had never run a TPN.

Happily completed my first successful TPN recently, and just need one badge for the MO on that one.
Protector was the first server to defeat the new Hamidon on both villain and hero.
We were one of the first, I think THE first, to succeed in the STF when it first came out (That was me, Impyre, Rastafari Man, Major T, Trickshooter, Riverdancer, Stormtiger... and I don't remember who else). We were one of the first, probably THE first server to earn the MoSTF and the first server to earn the MoRSF (added in edit, thanks Elric).
I've seen people complaining about stuff that "Protector" can't do, when I'm successfully doing whatever that is AT THAT SAME MOMENT.
These new trials require excellent leadership, understanding of the game, playing skill, the ability to clearly and calmly react to problems, communication.... They are meant to be a challenge, and not everyone is up for it.
So... don't tell me PROTECTOR can't do something that has been successfully done on PROTECTOR many times.
We ARE the little server that could. We earned that nickname, dammit.
.... I love my server and I'm proud of it.
EDIT - and first MoRSF
We were also first to get MoRSF.

Success at new trials, or new anything else, is a function of several different factors, and the entire enterprise is always complicated by the steepness of the learning curve and how well (or poorly) people adjust to it. As the trials get more difficult and more complex, more "introductory" runs will be required to learn what techniques and strategies will work... and failure is part of that learning process. It has always been this way - we used to fail Lambda collections and BAF prisoners too - and now those are pretty much a non-issue. But it isn't fair to make global statements about the quality of players on the server because a few runs fail. At the same time, there has to be an understanding that the learning curve will always be too steep for some - there are players who still don't know the layout of the Lambda maps, as there are some people who still can't multiply numbers with exponents despite years of math, or play a French horn well despite six-years of school band, or earn the highest rank in MW3 despite months of play or whatever. Some of us are good players, others are not. Some of us play seriously, others do not. All of us need to learn, and some of us learn faster than others. The same variability will exist on any server.
It took our group 3 or 4 failed MoM's to figure out the gimmicks, and then we walloped that trial, both in private and public runs. Excepting that annoying Dreamkiller badge, we had MoMoM in two runs through, both privately and publicly.
Similarly, our group ran 3 or 4 TPNs both in public and private groups, all of which failed, but in each case we learned something. So last night we took all that knowledge, hosted a public TPN, and got four badges in one shot.
There is nothing discrepant about either of these scenarios. They are, in fact, entirely typical of any situation where an individual or group is attempting to master something new.
Keep running your event, and don't become discouraged. Just like Impyre ran the nightly KIR just expose players to the trial and start building some experience with it, continued UG, TPN, and MoM runs are the only way people will learn and improve.
There are no hard iTrials, only hard peo-... er... wait.
I've run several successful MoMs - on Protector, and just earned the MoMom badge (Deathsurge was shy).
