Costume Creator Broken?

Several of my characters can't change their costumes. Someone on a global channel said this was a bug on characters using "full masks."

Today I COULD change the one costume which did have full masks. However, I was unable to change the rest of the characters' costumes, none of which had any mask.

I went through the whole costume creator, and pressed the final button, only to find nothing was changed at all. Luckily, they also seemed not to have any fewer free costume tokens or less influence (with the exception of the 1 costume that was changed).

Does anyone know of a workaround for this bug? Am horrified to find that my mutant half-bat girl can't use the new bat aura I just bought!

there is a fix in the works but we dont know when it will be live, current workarounds are not really there since almost everyones toons have a slightly different workaround if their costumes are locked

Thank you for the reply, much appreciated. Will continue to tinker with it!

UPDATE: Found if I change the weapon, the costume changes will stay. YAY, BATS!

So, my glitch is, indeed, part of the known issue with the weapons. Hope this works for some others, too.

NOTE: thus far, it's only been a problem with some side-switchers. 1) praetorian-to-hero brute, and the bat-girl, hero-to-villian-to-hero defender with mace pool/weapons. A villian-to-hero corruptor with a bow has had no problems with costume creator.

My hero-and-always-a-hero sonic/mm blaster won't save costume changes unless I change the weapon each time. She has the munitions pool, and even though she has no actual weapon-based powers from it, I have to re-select the weapon in order to get the costume to change.

It's now on the Known Issues list.

An issue with the Tailor makes it impossible to change the costume of characters who have weapon based power sets equipped.
It's pretty frustrating. I spent $5.00 on new costume pieces and couldn't use them until I came to the forums to find a workaround. I'm sure it'll be fixed soon (again), but geeze, it's annoying.

EDIT:
So much for the workaround. Doesn't work on my DP/traps corrupter.
(removed reference to losing influence. it doesn't seem to be charging for the failed changes.)

This is so irritating.
How does quite a major problem like this make it through to the live game.

I too purchased a number of pieces and a full costume set from the store, only to find that I am unable to change my costume.

I will attempt to change weapon along with my new costume, (will involve another purchase from the store) and see if that workaround works.

I also can't load a new costume that I saved so I wouldnt have to spend another 20mins rebuilding the new costume. Error was - Failed to load: Bad Costume parts (null) Detected

I hope a fix is incoming soon!

Have the bug too on my beam blaster. As a side note, I obviously made this toon in i21, and created it WITH the victorian aura, from level 1.
Now I just tried to put on the blazing path aura, and as soon as I click next to finish the changes, nothing happens..it just removes any changes I have.
EACH time it is charging me money too..every time. I cant even change it to a 'normal' aura.

Trying the weapon change workaround now. Didnt work at all. How the hell does a pug like this not get fixed asap, with Beam being a new set and all?

You're lucky then. This morning I tried twice to change a character's costume through Trina in Pocket D. When I hit the final button not only did I still have the same costume, I'd lost the influence it would've cost to change it.

I know this because it was a low level character with very little influence, let's say 3000. The first change I tried to make would've cost 3200, so I backed off a few things and got the cost down to 2500. When the costume didn't change, I went back in to find that I now only had 500 influence. I tried to make a couple small changes that amounted to around 350, and they didn't take either. When I went back in the tird time I was down to 150 influence.

This experience makes me wonder if the glitch has anything to do with being close to running out of inf. None of the costumes had masks of any sort.
