Time/Ice or Ice/Time?
Bump
I think bumping is against the rules.
Anyway I had the same doubt, a defender will cap defense to all much more easily with Power Boost/PBU + Farsight. I asked around and most told me to make a Defender.
I ended up with a corr because I love scourge and despise defender's damage on teams (Except sonic blast). Corrs are my favorite AT currently, so I'm a bit biased, I also refused to reroll my Fire/Traps into Traps/Fire despite being advised to, but at least unlike Fire Blast, Defenders get Blaster/Corr-level damage on Ice Storm and Blizzard.
Btw this combo is an end hog.
Until i21.5 Ice/Time by far. Defender Time Manipulation's Chrono shift is currently set to a much higher recharge than all other forms. So high in fact that it is mathematically impossible to perma it.

Woah, didn't know about the recharge. Are they fixing it for defenders or going to adjust it on corruptors when 21.5 comes out?
And thanks for the suggestions both of you. Sorry for bumping, but no replies and watching it fall down the page made me do it. Didn't want to delete just to repost... but still, bad taste on my part.

I'm enjoying Time/Fire, but if you're set on Ice, it's a solid set as well.

One other advantage of the Defender combo over the Corruptor is that at level 35 you can open up your APP/PPP since you probably won't want Bitter Freeze Ray anyway.
(I did my two i21 characters the wrong way around to take advantage of this unfortunately, my Traps/Beam Defender could have been a Beam/Traps and gotten an APP at 38, my Ice/Time Corruptor could have been a Time/Ice and unlocked the APP at 35).
So the answer I'd give really is "Whatever you feel like", neither is going to be a bad choice.
Ice is nice on a 'fender because both rains keep their Blaster-level damage numbers. Fire got nerfed for Defenders and it's Rain power does not do Blaster damage, plus, it's a double whammy because the Corruptor version does keep the Blaster-level damage on Rain of Fire and it double Scourges. MMmmmm.

I24 Proc Chance = (Enhanced Recharge + Activation Time) * (Current PPM * 1.25) / 60*(1 + .75*(.15*Radius - 0.011*Radius*(360-Arc)/30)) Single Target Radius = 0. AoE Non-Cone Arc = 360.
Is it better to make a Time/Ice defender as opposed to an Ice/Time corrupter? When solo the defender gets +30% damage, and because ice storm and blizzard are pets there is no damage scaling difference between these ATs. I would think in a solo environment against mobs this nearly makes up for the lack of scourge. Plus you would have better buffs/debuffs then the corrupter counterpart. The improved buff/debuffs would also provide better support to a team. What's everyone's opinion on this?
On a side note, if you use Ageless Destiny while endurance crashing from Blizzard, would you reload your endurance bar thus avoid dropping toggles?
