Unable to edit ANY costume on one of my characters since last patch... what ?

I'm having a similar problem, but my problem is not with locked and unchanging costumes. My problem is with the heads of all my male and huge characters defaulting to unedited states in the tailor. I've talked with GMs about fixes and helped them y running tests and they've said they're referring it to the quality control folks to see if they can recreate it. If they can, they're going to send what they find on to the Devs for inclusion in a future patch. Still, it's very expensive to go to the tailor and have to pay to accept the default head or pay to fix my head back to it's original settings. If I don;t change anything in the tailor and just back my way out, I still have my original settings on my toons in game. Totally freaky. Seems to have only started since they added the CoT costume set, but I don;t have any of the CoT pieces on the characters affected. My female characters are not affected. Go figure that as far as fashion goes, the women would be unaffected by the current trends.

Marion - is this the first time you've edited those characters since issue 21? There was a category merge in the new issue (normal head & masks I think) which could cause that.

In a way I feel stupid for not realizing that possibility, but at the same time I can't help but think I have edited them without issue since i21 was released. My issue started two weeks ago, the last time I edited any of my characters before that was during the VIP kickoff. I actually made some changes to celebrate my first Tier 6 purchases with the Reward Points system. It might be the category merge causing it on some of these guys, but I can't see that affecting guys with hoods or helmets since those settings weren't merged. And it doesn't explain why after I make the fix in the tailor, when I log back into my account it's defaulted again. Actually, I haven't noticed that happening since yesterday's patch, but I haven't logged in with any of the characters yet today either. I'll report back later.

Update: I checked one of the characters I fixed yesterday and the fix stayed this time. So, now it may be just the merge issue and if the fixes stick, I can fix. Thanks Rajani Isa.

Just want to update this post to say that this particular bug WAS NOT FIXED with today's patch(10/19). As a Beam/Traps/Mace Corruptor I still can't change my costume without first switching to a lower-level build.

Hoping for an actual fix next patch.

HERE'S HOW I DID IT!

My Corruptors w/Mace Mastery 3 of them, 5 costumes each so 15 that I had to do this on.
What I did was Tailor/edit/save costume/load costume when it tried to load it gave me this TWO HANDED WEAPON DETECTED error, so I went to the weapons tab and chose my weapon (the mace) though I don't even have a power that use's it and after exiting the weapons tab it now had a +500000 on it, when I exited the tailor after paying for the costume it was fixed and can now edit and retain the changes

I had written (and posted it here) (but it was removed) a kinda nasty second reply to my IN-GAME petition as their reply to it was VERY VAGUE and solved or directed me to NOTHING, Frustration +more frustration and no fix, so I figured it out myself. VIP treatment?

I have a Bot MM with the Arachnos Mace on villain side, And it's the only avatar I have that seems to be infected with this bug...I'll try your method out, But I'm hopping the GM's and Dev's can get this fixed soon...

Yep, I'm frustrated as well. Even after this patch I'm still not able to tweak, build, or load different costumes onto my Thug/Dark/Mace MM. All of my costume slots still show the lock icon and I'm still receiving the warning about invalid costume parts before I go into edit them, and all changes I make fail to be applied. Switching to a low-level build did not work for me.

The edited costumes seem to save just fine. However, trying to load them results in a "Failed to load: Invalid costume parts (null) detected" message (even on costumes that I've saved from other toons, and CAN STILL BE EDITED on those toons), and the Attempt Costume Fix button fails to remedy it.

Can also confirm teh bug, and that swapping builds provides a fix.

As an aside...when flying and using beam rilfe, with a classic costume toggled on..the beam comes OUT MY FEET. Come on..did no one seriously find this out during Test? Maybe it isnt a big issue, but its a bloody stupid one.

I am also trying to tailor a Bot MM with the Arachnos Mace on villain side.

Extreamly dissapointed that this bug has now not been fixed in the last patch after we were told it would be.

I now have a costume set plus 3 extra pieces paid for that I am still unable to use.

Yeah at least we got a workaround, otherwise we'd be stuck for what, soon 3 weeks ? Quite disappointed with the reaction time on that.

I am still unable to edit any costumes on my Dual Pistols / Dark Miasma / Mace Mastery Corruptor. I noticed that the mace no longer displays at all under the Weapons category, like it used to. I can edit everything else, but no edits save when I come out of the costume editor.

The least patch said it's fixed , but not for me , still can't change anything , can't take any effect , I am a Mercenarues / Traps / Scorpion MM .

I have a MA/SR scrapper. So no weapons at all. Two out of the five costume slots are locked still. Please help.

I managed to sort out this problem on my Fire/Fire/Mace Dominator before the patch, by just changing the mace weapon option and accepting the changes on all 5 slots. This removed the lock and enabled me to properly edit the character's costumes fully
