Master of Keyes - Sunday, October 9

Amygdala

Three runs this week:

First run: Introduction/warmup

No badges this run, just a chance for everyone to get on the same page and people who've never done the trial before (had newcomers each of the last two weeks) to learn.

Second run: Bunker Buster and Loves a Challenge

Avoids the Green Stuff won't be a priority for this run, but even still, the Obliteration Beam can easily kill you, so do try not to get hit. If Loves a Challenge fails and Green Stuff's still in play, we'll focus on it instead. In the event we get both, I'm sure I can manage my disappointment.

As for Bunker Buster... please follow instructions and we'll get it.

Third run: Anti-Anti-Matter and Avoids the Green Stuff

If no one needs Anti-Anti-Matter, we'll skip it. In that case, we can try again for Bunker Buster if needed.

If we didn't get Loves a Challenge the first run, we'll leave the terminals alone until someone dies or time becomes an issue.

Some general notes:

Please, please watch chat for instructions.

If you haven't already, please color Rebirth Destinies and other powers that can be confused with the Oblit Beam to not be green.

Sunday, Pocket D, 4 PM EDT.

Roster
@Placta - Elec/elec blaster
@Amygdala - Kinetics/Energy Defender
@Tenjoy - Scrapper
@Stray Kitten (possibly)

This. Bunker Buster was failed the last couple runs. Placta explained the plan for this badge very clearly but people were not following instructions. Please don't assume you already know what you're doing just because it's an easy badge. It's only easy if people stay focused and are paying attention.

This as well. If we want to give ourselves the best chance, limiting visual distractions is key. I'd also like to add a reminder not to use Fly. I saw quite a few people doing that as well last run. Air Beams are a good way to fail.

Per a suggestion from Amy, I added a basic Keyes run to the start. If time becomes an issue this week, I'll change the start time for later tries.

I'll do my best to be there this week. I think I'm open for a full Sunday for once.

I'll be there.

Re-quoted for emphasis. It should be an easy badge, but in my multiple attempts at this badge, it's always been foiled by players not listening to clear, well-articulated instructions. So please, LISTEN TO THE BLEEDIN' LEAGUE LEADER!!!!

I will try to make the runs this afternoon.

Q. Just wondering Posi, where are the new dance emotes we were told would come with GR?
A. Positron: Whoops, my bad.

1387 badges, and counting

Only got in two runs, although who knows what would have happened had the queue not gone nuts on us for the second.

Bunker Buster was successful on the second run, although I think my heart stopped for a few seconds at the third bunker while I rushed my countdown.

As for Green Stuff/Loves a Challenge, we're getting there. I think future runs will focus on those two unless someone specifically asks for Bunker Buster/Anti-Anti-Matter.

Great job, everybody, thanks for coming out, and 'grats to those who got badges. Trying again next week, announcement/signup thread coming ~Tuesday, hope to see you all then.

Sorry I had to duck out early. Long story, but I had to keep a friend from going to jail. Good to see that you all got Bunker Buster at least. I'll do my best to be available for next week.
