No teams mid-levels

Sewers teams? Tons.
Incarnate teams? Vast numbers.

It seems everyone is level 50 or level 5. Where are the teams in between?
Several hours. No teams. Lots of deaths, still in debt and only a single bubble in progress... I did upgrade enhancements...

VirtueUnited: Lots of talk for lvl 50s
Virtue LFT: Not much of anything.

Form your own teams. Spamming globals with "Team looking for more" works much, much better than "29 blaster LFT". No matter what you want to do, you can do it if you form your own team. If you aren't willing to form your own team, I have no sympathy for you.

I've found tons of great teams on the Virtue LFG Beta channel -- three of my characters (level 20ish, level 30ish, level 50 -- exemplaring of course) have gone from nothing to an almost-complete task force commander accolade in a week! Timing is definitely an issue, though. Euro evenings (US early afternoons) are definitely a lot more quiet than Euro before-work mornings (US late evenings). There's a lot more activity during weekends as well, obviously.

If you want to run the WST, tuesday/wednesday is probably a good bet for finding groups.

I'd like to emphasize this.

I, on the other hand, am sincerely sorry for you. Because it sounds like you won't be getting many teams.

I'll be honest - I rarely want to lead because I'm lazy. I want to follow along, and not have to decide what to do next, or choose between what two (or more) people on the team want to do, and so on. But I try to be aware that sometimes it comes down to a choice between forming my own team or logging off (and yes, I often pick the latter). That's just the reality.

I have tons of good luck with Virtue LFG Beta, too.

A lot of it is maximizing your options; this is where it erally helps if your main character is a Rogue or Vigilante. No boundaries, no worries. And join as many LFG channels as there are available, and just keep an eye on them for something to pop up.

Starting a team isn't something that everyone's comfortable with, but I've found that having a levelling buddy tends to take some pressure off. That way, even if you're in a terrible team, which really doesn't happen very often at all these days, you have someone there you still enjoy playing with.

The mid levels have always been a grind in CoH. I remember dreading 30-40 on all my characters. Thankfully with super sidekicking some of that pressure is off; but it can still get a little frustrating from time to time. When all else fails, I'd suggest making a solo-friendly alt like an MM or a brute, so you could have something to fall back on when there's nothing to be found teamwise.

Neither of us were being hostile.

If your behavior on the forums is in any way indicative of in game, I have no doubts about what causes you to have trouble finding teams.

Learn from this.

I can understand how you feel and in my opinion that wasn't the best way to answer your question. I can recommend you to check the Virtue LFG Beta. I have seen a lot of positive feedback about it and it worth to try that. Sometimes finding teams on Virtue is not easy, i have been lucky to find great teams for Task Forces and Police Scanner missions. It takes time but you will find them.

Don't let that type of answer to take your fun with this game away. You gonna find all kind of people here and you gonna find the good ones too. believe me.

Wow. No offense meant, but if those two lone comments from what is normally a pretty even-tempered forums (at least, in comparison to some others) caused her to quit, she's probably better off not posting here anymore.

Not to mention telling those who offered valuable advice, "Die in a Car Fire" (DIACF). That's uncalled for.

Edit: But being willing to form teams is the best advice you can receive. It's not something that comes naturally to anyone; I had a hard time getting myself to lead trials in case something went wrong. But if you want the rewards enough you can push yourself until it's casual and even fun to form and manage teams. It's worth trying and pushing through the initial anxiety.

90% of the time if Redside doesn't yield a team (which it almost never does) I put a note in VLFG Beta that I'm going to be running papers/Arc X in Zone X and if anyone wanted to come along to PST.

...wow. >.> Nothing either Dechs or Emberfly said even came close to meriting a response like that. I'm hoping this is a case of someone just having a bad day and overeacting, that happens from time to time.

I have seen more ''Tougher'' answers and there is no reason for quitting because of that. I don't know what really angered her more, but maybe it was this:

If you aren't willing to for your own team, I have no sympathy for you.

I'm not sure but some people are more sensitive to that, others are not. That's why we are all different. Still i find no reason to quit for that and believe me Gunpowder Witch, you gonna find a team for sure, even it takes some time.

I apologize for my preceding post.

While a couple of posts were far from gracious the response I gave was out of proportion to the provocation. Emberly hit a hot topic. I am not a leader and am a poor socializer. I rarely talk in teams, leading one is impossible. Having my nose rubbed in that fact while very frustrated at the situation put me in the only frame of mind where I get talkative. I got mad. I pushed myself to start a thread on a topic that was bothering. Obviously I should not have. I was even less successful at that than at leading teams.

Again I apologize for lashing out. Mods can lock this, or I will if the option exists for me.

I did this during the week, my level 28 Ice/Thorns domi started a team in Talos doing +1 hero tips. There were 4 of us altogether in the end

1 dropped immediately after the second spawn of +2 Arachnos beat the crap out of us, the other dropped when we wiped when, having almost tackling the spawn ANOTHER spawn aggroed and we wiped. Me and the last guy tried once more and then agreed to disband and never speak of the incident again (ahem).

Yes. I managed to create my very own car crash team of fail

Speaking for many (some? most?) of us, I would just like to say that if you can find it in yourself to accept that some of the folks here, ahem, "shoot from the hip", you will find that by and large we all mean well by it.

We're just trying to help. It might not always seems that way, but we really are. If you feel like giving us a second chance, we'll be here.

(no promises on being kinder/gentler. Not only should I not speak specifically for people [I know, I know], but, well, people will be people.)

That's what that stands for? Wow. Stunning.

EDIT: However, I see that the OP has now apologized. Fast moving thread.

Don't worry Gunpowder Witch. Not everyone is sociable but being not sociable does not mean being a bad person. In my opinion i would use more the term 'Introvert' since i don't see any anti-social behavior in your writing.

So everything is alright and remember that there are people here that really want to help you. Forget about the ones who failed at that.

It's not hard to start or lead a team. I don't even pay attention to AT balance or level, if someone says they'll go, I invite them. If the team looks like it can handle it, I crank up the difficulty(if you have a lot of buffers/debuffers, etc).

The fact that so many people seem to just be.. afraid of leading a team boggles my mind.

"Oh, I can't lead." <-not a valid excuse.

Invite people, set a mission. It doesn't matter what mission, as long as it's on level. It's really not difficult.
