Can't decide which of these to be my primary.

Gravity is great concept wise but its a hard road to 50 IMO

I have never rolled a controller before since my start of playing this game in i5 or i6. Grav/time thematically was just too sexy to resist. I had always wanted to try gravity because it looks awesome especially after they added the ability to change power colors. Time came around and it just seemed like the perfect set for grav. Time is a good set all around for any combination, but it seems to fill in some of gravity control's weaknesses.

So far I have one at lvl 25 and I play mostly on teams. I would never solo on a controller before 50.. it's too slow and I have plenty of doms for that. At 50 the reactive interface + spiritual alpha + the pet spamming attacks with me should make soloing quite an adventure. The single target damage is pretty decent with propel and lift. I love Distortion field and time stop for stacking holds with the primary set hold. Any control set benefits from this, but gravity just looks much cooler thematically.

The heal helps a bit considering I do not have any AoE control yet with wormhole or a lvl 50 slotted out gravity distortion field. Gravity lacks big time in early game aoe control that is for sure. Dimension shift is awesome for pvp but pretty pointless in pve outside of an oh **** button. Temporal selection is a great ally buff and I will definitely be using that on singularity solo.

I dunno.. overall I guess other sets might be better out of the box but I'm going to make grav/time amazing with IOs/incarnates because it just looks awesome and everything is locked to the ground with all that -speed. It just feels more controller like with everything being locked down unable to move faster than a crawl.

I had a elec/time and a mind/time on beta. Both were fun, but for me they were lacking something. Hence why I went with plant/time. Now I'm not gonna say either combo is horrible just not for me. Maybe it was having a elec/thorn and a mind/fire Dom is the reason why I didn't like those two.

Gravity: Good single target damage, but very slow in delivering that damage. Has an attack chain of GD (the Single Target Hold)-Crush-Propel for solo, or GD-Crush-Lift if you are only on teams. Poor AoE control. The pet, Singularity, adds a ton to this set and makes it a lot better. Singy is tough and can act as a tank/controller. Personally, I liked Grav solo, but it is not a great team controller.

Mind: Starts with good single target damage and starts with weak AoE control. Later gets lots of AoE control, but lacks in AoE damage. Mind gets Mass Confusion instead of a pet. Mind has trouble setting AoE containment because it does not have a fast-recharging AoE Containment setter but otherwise has strong AoE control with Hold, Fear, Confuse. Personally, I think Mind is better for a Dom than a controller.

Electric: Has a mixed bag of control powers with endurance drain, chain knockdown, AoE Immob without knockdown protection, Sleep patch, chain confuse. The sleep patch, in particular, will provide a lot of control. Can be played in melee to take advantage of the PB AoE endurance drain toggle. Low damage, as the two pets provide most of the damage. Elec Control is susceptible to interference from other characters, especially Fire Controllers, as any AoE DoT will mess up the Sleep patch, and any AoE -Knockback will mess up Jolting Chain -- Fire Cages does both.

Of those three, I'd probably go with Elec/Time.

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

I'v been having a blast with my Elec/Time. I love the fact that the two sets mesh so well what with the melee range thing. It's fun to just stand in the middle of a crowd and watch everyone's End bars just drop and never come back up.
