Can my Fire/Fire get any better?

My Fire/Fire tank who is also my main is my favourite toon to play on. I've spent quite a bit of influence on him and his build has gone through quite the number of respecs. I've finally come to a build that I really like playing. It allows me to tank on trials, TFs, Farms and AEs. And if I do die, I just RoTF and I'm right back in it, although I rarely do die. I also dish out quite the beating and can take out mobs pretty fast. The occasional time I do have to use a purple inspiration to get through without dying but all in all I love my tank. I was wondering if you guys would be able to critique my build and let me know if I can improve it in any way, I know he's not the best Fire/Fire tanker in CoH, he's not even close but I think my tanker is pretty awesome. He has the tier 4 Cardiac alpha slot also and due to this I NEVER run low on END so keep that in mind.

Here is my build:

well sure you can..the question really has to do with what you wanna get out of it.do you wanna be defensive or do you solo play alot?..using 2 builds is what i do . i have one resistance build and one defensive build.that way it covers both styles of play.but if you wanna keep just one build you have to figure out what you want from it. then its alot easier to figure out if it can be better

as i look at your build your voered around 30% on just about everything so you covered alot.!..did you ever think about trying to soft cap defense?

I like going with 32.5% defense to all positions. That allows you to pop one small purple and softcap to everything.

Easy changes: 1) swap out the 6pcs of Numina's in Healing Flames for 5pcs of Doctored Wounds; 2) move the saved slot to Scorch, slot with 6pcs of Mako's to take advantage of the proc in your most often used attack; 3) swap the Regenerative Tissue unique out for a Numina's unique; and 4) swap the BotZ Move/End in SJ for a BotZ Move since endurance won't be a problem when you're using SJ.

You maintain your defense & recharge, pick up proc damage in Scorch, and jump higher/faster out of combat. Nothing too spectacular on the upside or the downside (-7hp & -25% regen), but that's how I'd make changes on a similar budget with the same powers.

In adition to Streetlight's changes, you are better off ditching Cardiac and Taking Spiritual. With Spiritual's recharge, you are only 0.4s off your optimal single target chain of: Scorch -> Incinerate -> Scorch -> GFS.
The endurance issue is easily mitigated by ageless and ageless also provides an average of +20% recharge, which is exactly enough to remove than 0.4s delay off the attack chain I mentioned.

Spiritual+Ageless is a great offensive combination. Could get rid of Conserve Power & Physical Perfection with that change. Add in... Tactics & Vengeance? Use Tactics to mule the Rectified Reticle +Perception (don't actually run the toggle) and slot Vengeance with a LotG 7.5%. On the other hand, Cardiac+Barrier and Cardiac+Rebirth are great defensive combinations. Go with what you like.

I would also add some more KB protection, and on mine i went with typed def not positional. Mako is nice for postional, but Kinetic Combat is for type def. And it will open up some slots. In your healing flame where u have your numa, the proc u have in there for numa ++ only activates when u use it. I would put that in health this way u will always get that bonus. You also have to look at if u want type def or positional and by looking at your build you are trying to do both. The way the game works it only takes the higher of the 2. If you go targeted u have to remember that the ones to concentrate on is S/L/Neg/EN def. I see a few things i would change 1 add hasten in there. 2 You really do not need temp protection. 3 add some more KB protection. 4 decide if you are going positional, or type def. 5 add end red to maneuvers. 6 like said before switch out the numa in HF with 5 doctored wounds.

Thanks a lot for all of the advice guys, I'm taking into account everything that everyone has said and am pretty sure that I am going to start reforming my tanker so that he has hit a few soft caps.

Be careful what you wish for...

Right now, you can pop a single small purple and softcap to EVERYTHING. Shift to S/L softcap and, sure, you cover 60%+ of the damage in the game, but you become wholly vulnerable to everything else. Then you're popping 2-3 small purples if something non-S/L pops up, which is a lot more common now. If you want to do Incarnate content, and it appears that you do, then I recommend sticking with your positional defense plan.

I'm certainly a minority. I'm not sure how often you play at low levels - but the idea of putting more than a token slot in scorch seems kind of crazy to me.

In a way, I understand it, because if you want Fiery Embrace and Build Up, something has to give.

It all really depends on what you want to do with your tank.

I don't necessarily have any improvements - you have some good defense to counter your low resistance to things other than fire.

Myself, I agree whole-heartedly with the cardiac tier 4 - as this also has 20% resistance with it. Sadly, it doesn't take you from 70% to 90%, it just adds a little bit - one of the math gurus or Mids whizzes may be able to shed some more light (and likely already have somewhere in this vast labrynth like forums. )
I also went with Barrier - though I enjoy the extra protection, I would love to swap it out with Ageless to see how much of a difference it makes. In fact, I just might.

The sad part is that there are ways to get more recharge out of your build, but they are costly. A set of Panacea's would give you 7.5% recharge instead of the 5% of Doctored Wounds. And you can buy an entire set of Doctored Wounds for the price of 1 Panacea, and possibly have enough change to get an LotG proc.

How much inf do you have to burn?

I did forget this - have you not thought about getting Pyre Mastery and getting Fireball? I use this on my tank as much as burn.
