I see no problem with this. It would prevent Store related threads from clogging up the general and player question sections.

Maybe, but some suggestions may be considered for the market anyways, like the big power set suggestion thread.
I remember one of the devs talking about this recently, I believe it was Zwill in one of the latest Ustreams. They said they were going to be shuffling around the forum categories in the near future. Removing some sections that rarely get used, combining overlapping topics, moving some stuff around to places that make more sense with Freedom's changes. That kinda thing.
Considering how much emphasis they want to place on the market from here on out, it would make perfect sense to have a separate section just for it.
Since we are going F2P and the market is going to be a big thing for the game, why doesn't if have it's own small segment of the forums somewhere?
This would give us a place to ask for things, give feedback, help other players, etc in regards to the market.
