QOL: Change who Desdemona follows.

Problem:
In the Underground Trial, Desdemona is a hot potato that most players don't want.

Suggestion:
Let the player she is following dismiss her. She should then wait 5 seconds then latch onto and follow the closest player to her. In order to do this, have the player be able to click on Desdemona and tell her to "Stop following me." Another player could, if they want, click on her and tell her to follow them. It should be noted that this tech already exists in the game with the Warburg scientists, so the developers have a template to look at (minimal to no programming time).

Additional benefit:
This suggested feature could be applied to all other NPC pets to introduce strategy in dealing with them in other missions.

+1 also. I find it funny that you want to create a bigger mess then is already going on.

Why would it create a bigger mess? Some people don't want to be leading the aggro-magnet (front-line melee when trying to avoid getting her killed especially). I thought this would be the simplest way to handle it.

I see what you're saying, I just think it would create a mess due to some people not wanting her at all and playing hot potatoe with her. Although, I will admit that would be funny.

You should see what I've been doing to transfer Des already.

Have the group move far away, have the person with des stand with the new pet holder, then have the person with des either self-destruct or get tp'd. All the while hoping the critters haven't respawned between the main group and Des.

It'd probably be easier to make a "Transfer Desdemona" temporary power. Target an ally, use the power and she switches target.

The best thing to do is to make her an invulnerable non-participant in battles.
Keeping an npc alive in missions is one of the most annoying features in this game.

I don't deny that keeping an NPC alive during a mission can be annoying in general. But in this case they actually bothered to make a badge associated with it (the one where you have to keep her above 50% HPs during the run) so I doubt they'd ever change her vulnerability here. Besides the main "point" of the story of the trial is to help her get to the end of it.
