AE rolls for low-level characters

So, in a fit of badging enthusiasm, I bought one of the cheap game accounts and dual-boxed my way to the 400 rep PVP badge. This has left me with four characters of levels 16 or 17, each with around 6000 AE tickets in their pockets. I planned to delete the characters, but then thought I might as well spend the tickets, first.

Obviously, they have pretty limited options. What would be the best use of their tickets? Would there be any advantage to levelling them up a little higher to get access to different level bands for recipe rolls? Or should I just buy a bunch of rare salvage and call it a day?

At 20 a lot of gold stuff opens up- mostly crap, but Miracle procs are in there.

Looks like 74 recipes, maybe 9 are very good including one of the big 3 [miracle.]

If you go 15-19 you have 45 recipes and maybe 6 are good, including zero of the big 3. I'd say level em to 17, get enough for 2 gold recipes, and roll random golds, but I have a known bias (see: Midlevel Crisis.)

24 rare salvage is like 36 million; if you get less than 36 million from your golds, I'll refund the difference.

EDIT: I don't know how much rare salvage actually costs. What do you get for 24,000 tickets, 48 rare salvage? Which would be 72 million ? I'll refund the difference from 72 million.

I was going to price them all up, too, but then the AH went down, shortly followed by Defiant. When they come back up, I think I'll go and roll whatever tickets are left over in bronze 15-19s.

I strongly suggest anyone leveling in AE do this.

Monitor your levels.
At exactly Level 10 (Gamble on 10 and 9 bulbs if you like for max tickets .)

Stop and go roll out all tickets at Bronze level 10-14. You are looking to score Steadfast 3% at min level and the various Knockback Protection IO's.

Optional: Stop again at 14 and repeat.

For both steps your max level limits your pool of posssible recipies and seems to greatly increase your chance of the 3% defense.

After that I tend to go for Silver at 30-34. You will get a lot more inf from that than any possible gold unless you hit a home run, and the size of the pool makes that pretty unlikely in my experience. I have blown about 50,000 tickets chasing the Gold Fairy and got only 1 decent recipe (a Numina's ++.)
