I'm also in a wheelchair IRL. Although i doubt i'd use it personally in game, i could see some entertaining concepts that would go well with it. Example. A tech genius using one with various weapons and devices for good or evil.
Animations for ranged powers could have attacks generating from the usual hands but also eyes, forehead, mouth, and chest. Those could be used in both standing and sitting positions. And crossbow could replace the bow for a sitting Archery/TA set.
Now for the fantasy. I am rolling down the street in King's Row, have a hellion try to "take a bat to my skull", take a swig of my potion (ty super science booster pack!) and *poof* turn into my tank and beat "the tar" out of him. /smile
Given your example, it could work exactly like the new hoverboard power. It would just require a different animation and different vehicle model.
This could really work.
