Merc Proc Effect Stacking?
Achilles' Heel Proc works via a Grant Power effect. This means that the affected target(s) cast the effect ON THEMSELVES. You're not casting it on them, THEY are (involuntarily). Due to this logistical factor, it is not possible to "self-stack" the Achilles' Heel Proc onto ANY target more than x1 because the target is the caster of the effect ... not you, not your henchmen/pets, not your teammates.
I see. Thanks for the information.
There was another discussion about this, and a poster posted a screen shot where he'd gotten 2 of them to stack once, but he said it was really really rare for it to happen. (It might even be a glitch.)
So, yeah, it's unlikely you'll get it to stack. I still put one both on my spec ops, and my basic soldiers, but not on my commando.
Primia! Welcome to the mastermind boards!
(I think we were talking a couple days back on Virtue; I was on my bots/ff, Victoria)
Oh yeah I remember that conversation. I still havn't picked what MM I want to be my main yet lol.
But because of the frequency of those -res proc triggering attacks, Merc (and Thugs too, I think) can keep up with the 20% -res most of the time.
That would certainly help with the fact that a lot of enemies have lethal resist.
Mercs can get a lot of mileage out of the damage procs too. I even put the KB set damage proc in my commando.
Yeah I really like the way Mercs look and feel, and of how the proc effects work so well with them(or so I'm told).
Hey all I've been doing some MM research and I found out that if you put enhancements with proc effects into your henchmen they gain the proc on the relevant abilities they have. Specifically I was looking at Mercs all of the tier 1 henchmen abilities(not the medic the other 2) have defense debuff.
A lot of people say a major problem with Mercs is that lethal resistance is very common, but there is a defense debuff proc called achilles' heel which can lower resist by 20%. I saw that it said "Effects do not stack from the same caster" or something similar, but what about from different henchmen? Like if soldier (A) procs then soldier (B) procs is the enemy now at -40% resist?
If anyone knows for certain I would greatly appreciate this information. I would do testing of my own but these enhancements are fairly expensive for a new player to just go and get.
