Advice for SS/SD Brute build

Title says it all. First build, no idea what im aiming for or what end game is like. Greatful for any advice I receive.

Looking for a Brute that can handle himself. Perhaps tank if need be while also having some damage aoe's and knockdowns.

Just one comment as I won't claim to be a guru, but waiting until 22 to take active defense is a HUGE mistake. That is your mez defense. Take it as soon as it is available.

Well i realised theres nothing to do end game except farm farm farm so im quitting. But i touched up my shield defence build for anyone curious about making their own SS/SD Brute, this is the new version.

I realised pretty quickly that if you are trying to push out dps you run out of endurance fast.

So i took out one of the slots in Super Jump and the "Damage" Ragnarok in Dark Obliteration ( which only added about 6 damage to the move and costs hundreds of millions on my server ) .

I placed one of the slots in Boxing for the 4% recovery that Absolute Amazement set provides. Added a slot to Health for the Pancea proc ( if my math serves correctly it adds about .15 to recovery which is significant ).

One With the Shield was breaking the rule of 5 so i put that slot into Combat Jumping for a little more recovery.

Lastly i changed the stealth IO for Kismet:Accuracy in combat jumping. ( no idea why i thought stealth was better )

I've solo'd two arch villians and a hero with this build ( which was all i encountered in my short time ) by using the rotation Gloom -> Punch -> Haymaker -> Punch -> Gloom and using KO blow whenever available ( stock up on blue insps and 1 heal insp just incase he gets a lucky string)

This build is pretty close to completion. I didn't get to fine tune it but this was where i was at:

I was reconsidering one with the shield. the 3% def slot is nice but the crash it has is rediculous especialy stacked with rage and hasten crashes i dont believe this build supports it.

Also for AV fighting i was considering NOT using Hasten because the recharge times for Gloom, Punch, and Haymaker with that many LotG's was pretty close to a smoothe rotation. ( i was one Rag away from the recharge bonus so with that maybe it would work )

Lastly im pretty sure this was a retarded idea but i was also reconsidering using rage when i fought AV's to avoid the crashes. Crashes really use up all your blue insps it seems so i was trying to avoid them. But im sure its worthwhile to keep up not only for the +Damage but the +To Hit it's just something i hadn't the time to test. ( i like using numbers and facts over assumptions )

Anyway that was my experience with this build and the game later.

There is alot more to do now end game than there was less than a year ago. There is all the incarnate content (new,) tons of task forces, and the Oro arcs to go back and do that you missed leveling up.

Also one of the community favorites, roll a new character in a different Archetype. It makes the game feel much different.

If your Forum join date is close to your game time, I know theres a ton you haven't seen yet.

that it? thats not content lol where are the big epic boss battles that every other MMO has. Hami is all i've seen and for a 7 year old game im not impressed

Well if spaming single target attacks at a boss for 30+ minutes is your idea of fun, you could always run a Baracuda Strike Force with minimal debuff and no MM or Defender.

It sounds like Blue just simply doesn't like this game--and for about the same reasons that the people who stay with the game, like you and I, like it.

People see things the way they want to see them. To each their own--no loss either way if he quits.
