White Spandex Liberation Front
Looks pretty white to me...
EDIT: Just checked in-game. Not sure what universe you're living in, but the tights shown here are distinctly different from skin tone (unless you're the Joker).

It has always kind of annoyed me that the white spandex and/or T-shirt had a skin tone to it. I would love a more opaque white version.

Yeah, that is not at all what he meant.
I believe he meant the issue that occurs in the above image. Clearly, the use of white as a "mask" pattern shows the skin-tone through it. With the exception of the pants, that I left as tights to show the contrast.
I would heartily approve of the time it takes them to go through and make all these fixes. Should have been done years ago.
I really wish they'd go through and do a complete color matching pass, since I'm tired of avoiding parts that end up having glaring division lines.

Anyway I don't agree that it must be on purpose just because it's been there forever, I'm sure someone's got a list of long-standing bugs that have never been fixed.
By the way, your obnoxious eyeroll? Not necessary, thanks.

Correct. The texture for tops-with-skin is a light tan "nude" over which semi-transparent masks are placed, and since the shadow is created by the texture, it too is slightly tan. It could probably be fixed by making the Skins grey toned like the Tights but that might make less realistic skin.

Oh, well that's quite a bit different. I read "standard top/bottom tights" as, well, what I posted.

It does seem to happen to more costume parts on the female model than the male or huge ones, which is the main reason (apart from its longevity) why I suspect it's that way on purpose. Call me a cynic.
Yes I'd love some versions of white spandex that didn't look like my characters were covered by a slight sprinkling of baby powder.
While we're talking about textures I'd love to get "shiny" versions of more spandex-type clothing. I've been wanting to make leotard-type outfits that are fully shiny but without a "shiny bikini" type bottom option there's no way to do it.

The "white mask eyeholes" thread reminded me of this: Hey, guys, it's 2011, can we please have white spandex that's actually white? I'm sort of tired of always avoiding white for face masks, tights, tops-with-skin, etc. because in practice, for no reason I can discern, the "white" color setting on tight textures always ends up looking like I was trying for the ever popular naked character effect, particularly on female models. As that is generally not what I'm trying to accomplish, it's kind of annoying.
I used to think this was a graphical glitch or oversight of some kind, but given how long it's been that way, I have to conclude that it's on purpose, in which case I have to say I'm not a fan. I mean, feel free to keep it around, I'm sure there are people who dig it, but for myself, I'd be pleased with a properly opaque white spandex option.
(Also, "the white spandex option" is my Alan Parsons Project cover band.)
