Yes thanks Wulf
There seems to be about...3-4 people that want to "lead" a Keyes...Wulf, myself and one or two others I can't think of
I really need to make my own macros up so that I can start leading badge runs for Keyes.
Speaking of which; all this week (25th-29th) I'm doing the day-shift at work so..I'll hopefully be able to do some runs at night

I think the main reason folks don't want to "lead" anything new, is a lack of confidence in what to expect.
There are a select few who don't seem to mind investing their time in Beta, Test and the forums to find out what works and what doesn't.
Of course, there are some others who know exactly what to expect, but real life and possibly other issues like a lack of patience keep them from leading.
Regardless, I am shamed, for not having mentioned other class acts like @Energizing Ion, @arbegla, @hazygreys, @its me Matt and several others whose names escape me because of my failing memory.

Don't get me wrong I was able to test the Keyes trial out and at least knew what to expect for the most part....but on the other hand...it is somewhat of a mentality.
Go in to try something new, have fun. As long as everyone in the league knows that you as a leader don't have any experience in it and everyone is fine with that....go for it! Never know what may happen.
But it's not a huge deal...I know some people don't like to lead period so...*shrugs*
It is "funny" when there's a league that's doing well and sweeping Lambdas, BAFs with ease and the first mention of, "anyone want to do a Keyes?" and bam, all-of-a-sudden everyone has to leave
Was a bit off-topic, not trying to derail anything so...
I'm glad for anyone leading trials; but especially as more and more people are getting used to Keyes. I know the auto-hit pulse and the "lots of deaths" may get to some but...we'll keep at it!

No worries here about derailing a thread. I must confess, until the Keyes trial, I felt pretty much invincible with my main, ice/ice blaster Ukase Rex. So much so, that I would do really crazy things like run into the mob around the tank just to put down an ice patch.
Then, something like the Keyes trial comes along and offers me a nice dose of humble pie. But, you're right, we'll get it sorted out, sooner or later.

I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Wulfrich, too, considering he was the one leading every Keyes Trial I've been on so far. More than three of them as I recall. While it took me one or two to get my bearings, I got the hang of it eventually.
Tough Trial, no arguments or doubts there. But tough leader, too, thankfully! Keep on keepin' on Wulf... and I'm glad you get to retire your warning macros on NO PETS!!!
@Raven Lord
PS @ Ion: The multi-death aspect getting to some just says to me not enough people appreciate Blasters and/or debt and/or Corruptors / Defenders who keep people alive. With my Rad / DP defender I've had little issue keeping people alive through several pulses. So I really have to wonder about people who, theoretically, might be getting cold feet for that reason.
Keyes is a good test of people who will look at something like that and yell Challenge Accepted! And those who aren't. As I'm often saying, and often have said, nothing worth having in life is easy to get. The bigger the challenge the better the prize. I say, bring on the Keyes Trials!

I think there may be two things that people 'hate' about the Keyes trial:
1.) The auto-hit pulse (lots of dying usually; or at least "Lots" compared to any other iTrial)
2.) Feeling overwhelmed at what to do. Lots of things to know/do and what not to do....so many warning pop-ups that it's hard to keep up with it all.
But I do agree somewhat that there aren't a whole lot of debuffers/buffers/"healers" toons that are good at doing those things. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of good people here at Liberty but there does seem to be lack of good Empaths/Thermals/Pain Dom. as well as other "buffing" ATs.
I've said it before to some friends/people online...I "love" playing an Empath (or "healers" in other MMOs); but only "love" playing them when there is actual healing needed...if nothing is happening/the team is so awesome it doesn't need healing a whole lot then...yeah..I'm just another buff-bot...do not want.
But in the Keyes trial (really in any of them that I've been on lately), healing is "fun" to me. Keeping the main tanker/taunter alive is hard by itself! Timing when to use Heal Other, Absorb Pain, Healing Aura, my Rebirth Destiny heal...Regen. Aura...all good stuff...oh and I have to keep myself healed too!
I've died a few times from the auto-hit pulse cause I had AP on me and couldn't heal myself...Regen. Aura and the Rebirth Destiny powers are really nice when healing is needed since the +regen still heals me even with AP on me

I just finished rebuilding my emp with some nifty recharge - and it wasn't cheap. Soon as I get him level shifted- which should happen by the time I finish his TFC (this coming weekend- shameless plug for my other thread)- then I'll bring him to the trials.
His name is Confidence. If he's there - the team will succeed. If your team lacks Confidence, well, you already expected to lose.

Eh the macros just turn into an annoying spam-fest. This is an easy ******* game. The only instructions needed are to follow your team leader and click the mouse thingy.
Unless you're going for stupid badges then spamming instructions isn't needed and my guess is spamming instructions will only cause people to not look at chat.
I only ran one keyes and that was enough. The 20 minutes to setup was a bit too much and it was just silly. SILLY!!! I'd rather run a 40 minute +2 kill most ITF and blast stuff.
Macros work to a point, then people start ignoring them because they think they all say the same thing. Macros are best kept short and sweet.
Fitz is right though, this game is pretty easy.
/gignore @username is the best feature of this game. It's also probably the least used feature.
Can't get enough Hazy? /chanjoin robo's lounge today!
Just wanted to take a moment and give props to @Wulfrich. It takes a special kind of person to break things down and help a bunch of folks get some badges that are pretty tough to get the first or even second time around.
My head was pounding, or I'd have jumped in the mix to go for a few badges myself. Still, it was good to see Wulfrich forming for the Keyes Trial badges.
Thanks, Wulfrich!
