May we please have more than 1 Alpha-type power?

The reaction is natural to Kryptonians powered under a yellow sun. Kryptonians just didn't have a yellow sun on their homeworld.
He's natural origin. |
Science would be Spiderman, due to his powers coming not from a random mutation but specifically from the bite of a specific engineered spider. Anyone else bitten by that spider would likely also get powers.

GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

I know this argument has come up a number of times before. My opinion is that a "Natural" character doesn't cease being "Natural" just because they acquire some powers that are external to them. Their core powers are still Natural, they have simply acquired additional powers that allow them to transcend their previous limitations. However, this does not change who they fundamentally are, at the end of the day it's their skills, their gear and their attitude that make them a super the Well is just granting them a few new abilities. The analogy I like to use is a master swordsman (i.e. Broadsword Scrapper) who acquires a magical sword that shoots fireballs (Blaze Mastery). His primary method of defeating foes is still his natural ability to hit them with a bit of sharp metal (i.e. Natural) however he can now supplement this with the ability to shoot the occasional fireball at them as well.
Part of me wants to say that the Incarnate path is simply not one those characters should go down. At all. Due mainly to the fact that once you begin to acquire progress in the Incarnate path, you cease to be a "Natural" character at all.

Sometimes it's fun to play around with the concept a bit. For example with Adeon Hawkwood his Incarnate powers are a mix of tech and the Well. He has designed a multi-dimensional power relay which allows him to tap into the Well of the Furies to generate high temperature plasma on demand. He then uses this either to generate electricity (to power his suit and a healing nanite fabrication unit) or as a weapon (Pyronic Judgement, Reactive Interface and Robotic Drones). Is he an Incarnate? He'd tell you no, after all he hasn't opened himself to the Well, he's simply using it to generate power. Of course, the Well probably disagrees...
If you want to get super-technical that last sentence is not always true depending on which interpretation of the origins of the Marvel Universe you subscribe to. There's a line of continuity which has declared that the supers of the Marvel Universe were seeded by Celestials when humanity was first evolving and that those people were destined to gain powers under their respective origin scenarios. So if anyone else but Peter Parker had been bitten, they would have either reacted negatively to the venom or simply experienced no effect at all.
"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
