One nice thing about Mace coming over is I can do Mace/sd instead of BS/sd and not having to deal with the longer recharges of BS. I really do want to like BS, but it's just so freaking slow until you get higher up.

So War Mace is faster Recharge and is more focused on AoE damage, is that what you guys are saying?

I'm not sure if ST attacks actually have faster recharge or not. I haven't compared them.

But WM is definitely more AoE focused.

With a decent amount of recharge (40-60% global + hasten) you can repeatedly cycle these three.


If you have never played this set before, you WILL LOVE Crowd Control.

Take Kat and BS, but sub out DA and Parry for more offense. You, generally speaking, now have Mace and Axe. They don't get the -def debuff, so you can't slot the -res proc.

Unfortunately thats true about the Achilles Heel proc.

However, you can slot the Fury of the Glad Proc in Shatter and you most likely want that in your ST chain.

The proliferation looks great... But I'm more excited about titan weapons.

I like the EA change... sounds like just enough bump to bring it up to par.

Really? I thought it was enough a bump that it looks to be up there as one of the top survival sets.

You are the 2nd person I have seen indicate a possible ranking for new EA. How do you people do this without having actually seeing anything about the new set but vague descriptions?

Well I did qualify it with "looks"

That said, I have an Ice Armor Tanker at 50, so I know Energy Absorbtion (which is my guess with how the ED change is going to play out, based on what they said), 50 Electric Armor Brute, so I know how Energize is, and looking over EA now (I never got one to 50, but I've played it like 20), it's really not hard to softcap it's defenses now to everything except Psi.

Since they said they were going to boost it's resists in the passives, I'm guessing that means 10% now, versus the 7.5% it has now. Not a big increase, but it's added Resists none the less.

Slow Resist and End Drain Resists added in (and with softcapped Energy Defense and ED, energy drain imo probably wasnt to much of an issue, if my Ice Tanker was any indication, or my WP Scrapper without the End Drain Protection, but with softcapped Energy Defense and lots of +END Procs) will add to the awesomeness.

I don't expect the Slow Resist to be more than 20%, but Grounded has like 60% so maaaaybe higher (I doubt it though).

Then you have Energize giving a heal and regen, and EA will have an easier time getting it to perma with IOs, that's a self heal every 30 seconds and +Regen.

Psi will be it's weak spot. And it won't have major Toxic Resist. But overall, I think it'll be up there.

Also heard mention of a raise in it's DDR (but this was second hand, saying it was mentioned onthe Ustream...so no idea on the validity of it), which coupled with higher Defense numbers, should help from cascade failure. Even without a raise in DDR, more defense helps with that to a point, which ED will provide.

But it's all speculation at this point for sure. But using what little I see, I don't see why it wouldn't be up there with INV/WP/SH.

All I wanted to see in the set was a change to CP, and the ability to reach capped Energy Resists (mind you I prefere to see that with all elemental sets...like Dark Armor being able to reach Negative Energy cap).

I'm doing KM/EA for theme. My KM was made as KM/Inv as a compromise long before I even knew EA was headed to Scrappers, so now I'll remake them!
