nope.

Not only do Brutes have a lower base, they also have a lower cap.

I just created a junk build for a brute in Mids with a dark / willpower and focused on nothing but HP boosts.

Even after capping the 1.125, 1.5, and 1.875 boosts to 5x; dipped into Purples and used Eradications; made sure High Pain tolerance was at ED cap before enabling Spiritual Core; and adding all of the incarnates: maximum hp still fell below 2800.

Thanks for the reply, im at work and seem to think up all my character concepts here (where I dont have mids) well since WP brutes cant get close to a tank I wont bother, I got plenty of tanks and just wanted to see if I could a brute rolling for the extra dps they provide, but I prefer the survivability side of things so ill leave it for my scrappers

I dont really know what to say
Electric Armour and the Soft cap
Electric Armour and the 1st 20 levels
Thundra Knight

With a decently built WP brute (with 32%+ defenses to each type) you'd notice the increase in DPS far more than you'd notice the Tanker's increased HP in my opinion. When WP fails, it tends to fail HARDCORE - in situations where a few extra hundred HP wouldn't do a damned thing for you.

My SM/WP brute (32% smash/lethal, 38% most others, somewhere in the 20s psi) tends to survive situations where my EM/WP tanker doesn't (45%+ all except the non-existent toxic). Without a doubt SM is factoring into that, though whirling hands does a pretty good job stunning on a Tanker and most bosses are perma-stunned an attack chain or two in, but I would think probably twice the DPS helps drop foes before they get a chance to overwhelm as well.

Weight training: Because you'll never hear someone lament "If only I were weaker, I could have saved them."

Wait .. what?

The Brute Squad has the wisdom you seek. Besides why would you be happier with /wp on scrapper that has even lower base/cap hps than a brute?

(nothing against /wp scrappys, just, well, ya, the above confused me.)
