My strategy for Master of Keyes

Not perfect, but I think it'll work. Any feedback and your own opinions/ideas about team makeup etc.

Some sort of teamspeak which will help a lot in communicating and organizing etc. It will save a lot of time during the trial so you don't have to stop and type.

In my horrible Opinion, less melee toons is the best option to get the "Loves a Challenge" Badge. This badge requires No deaths, and not destroying any of Anti-Matters Regening Terminals.

Everyone will need a maximum of 5 [Ultimates] minimum of 3. This will help to fight Anti-Matter at the Truck Depot. They're 2 Astral Merits per Ultimate Inspirations, use them! Also having T3s(for level shift inside trials is needed). Alphas, Destinys, Lore. This will get you to +3 when they're activated. Being +4 at the Truck Depot at all times will help a lot! Each level increase/decrease is a 10%buff/debuff and it shows!

For the Supports: Empaths/pains/therms
Please take note that a YOU can make a Focus Team. You can right click on the Person and click "Add player to Focus Group" This will make another tab in the League tab.
This is good for breaking up the teams into healing sections. Shouldn't be no more than 1support for 2-3people.
Reactor 1 - Hope

There is a badge in this section, it is the AntiAnti-Matter.

Team Setup
Team 1. This team is the Tank and Anti-Matter Mobile.

Team 2. This team is the Damage team.
  1. Tank - Tank/brute (Crowd Control)
  2. Damage - Scrapper/blaster/corruptor/dominator/mastermind
  3. Damage - Scrapper/blaster/corruptor/dominator/mastermind
  4. Support - Heals(Emp, Pain, toxic, dark, therm, Rad)
Team 3. This team is the Debuff - Also holds the Designated PowerCell Carriers.
  1. Debuff - (Dark/therm/cold/toxic/rad/traps)
  2. Debuff - (Dark/therm/cold/toxic/rad/traps)
  3. Support - Heals/control
  4. Support - Heals/control
Reactor 2 - Genesis

Kill 15 Recovery Goliaths. Each RG gives 3 PowerCells to a random person. Call out that you have one and give it to the Designated Powercell Holder. Once you have 30 Power Cells (10Goliaths worth) Head to the Tanker Team for the first Terminal then to the next and so on. Everybody must stay away from the AMobile. Anti-Matter can do PBAoE damage, and could lose agro. AMobile must have Fly or Hover(hug the reactors wall),this is for bringing Anti-matter around the reactor without dragging him back and forth into the team.

Team AMobile - WarTank: AMobile handles Anti Matter in position and waits till Team 2 gets 30Power Cells(10 Goliaths) to ONE person!!!
Once you have 30 Power Cells on one Person then Team 2 Follows Wartank to clear the WarWorks from a Terminal then AMobile brings in Anti-Matter to use the Power Cells -Quick and carefully!

Team 1. AMobile - WarTank
  1. Tank - Must have CAPPED Energy Resistance. This tank will be the main Anti-Matter Tank - A.K.A AMobile.
  2. Support - Single targeted Heals(Empathy, Pain Domination, Therm, Toxic)

Team 2.Alpha League Leader picks a Designated Power Cell Person. 1person
  1. WarTank - Tank/Brute
  2. Damage - Scrapper/stalker/blaster/corruptor/dominator/mastermind
  3. Damage - Scrapper/stalker/blaster/corruptor/dominator/mastermind
  4. Support - Heals(Emp, Pain, toxic, dark, therm, Rad)
  5. Debuff - (Dark/therm/cold/toxic/rad/traps)
  6. Debuff - (Dark/therm/cold/toxic/rad/traps)
  7. Support - Heals/control
  8. Support - Heals/control
Reactor 3 - Infinity

Here the teams will be split into equal damage.
Besides the AMobile and his support.

Work on 1 bunker at a time then move onto the next(a Bunker has 3 doors) Split the team up on the 3 doors. Please take it easy and call out the Doors HP at the moment. Rinse and Repeat for each Bunker(3) Stick together for heals and buffs aswell.

Truck Depot - Final Part

ENTANGLEMENT- you will either have a blue or red aura. Being near someone of the opposite colored aura of you will DAMAGE you. Keep an eye on your aura.

Matt, thing is the 'Loves a Challenge' badge doesn't require BOTH no deaths and not destroying the terminals during the last phase, its either or.

So either you do the whole thing without the ENTIRE raid not dying, OR you just skip out on destroying the terminals that allow Anti Matter to regenerate up, thus prolonging the last fight.

oh, and what secondary is 'toxic'? Do you mean poison? which has about the WORST single target heal possible... heck the day job heal other power is better then the /poison heal.

Tried the Loves a Challenge, one run I did we didn't die so we killed the terminals. Still no badge. Took several more tries and finally got the Loves a Challenge. I also saw few others wondering about this badge as well. Im not sure if its a bug, or a typo in the badge text.

Ah, yes I ment the Poison, didn't know how good/bad it was.

Folks have already despaired of doing this trial. It's really not that much fun to do, Basically mindlessly repeat the same process over and over again with only your constant dying to keep you awake.

The final fight's not bad, but getting badges requires both dedicated and skill players and a bit of luck. Relying on luck not to get trapped in the green while time is stopped is not the same as a challenge. Making badge getting needlessly complicated and repetitious is more annoying than challenging. I kind of wish they had meant what they said when they said they didn't want farming or grinding.

This is by far the biggest grind of the trials so far and much more difficult and less interesting than BAF.

I've been on two Mo attempts and by the end of both a large portion of the trial members had expressed interest in never visiting Keyes island again, badges be damned. Beyond how annoying the badges are, it appears it may be much more so just to get a league formed willing to go after them.

On Enjoys a Challenge, when I read the description, it seemed to me that you could neither die nor destroy a terminal. The language is to vague to know for certain, though.

from reports that ive heard the text description is off, as in the final phase you cant die AND you cannot destroy any terminals

when it says die or destroy terminals it sounds like an either or but fairly sure its both

ive also been hearing reports that the avoids the green stuff badge is counting pets atm too which might be bugged as well

The KIR can be fun just like the other trials. I think people get frustrated too easily/fast.

Everything is hard until people know what to do/how to do it. STF was too hard, now it's easy. ITF was too hard, now it's easy, Lambda and BAF was too hard, now it's easy. And it goes on...hopefully KIR will get "easy" too for everyone

As far as getting the badges; I was just in a 12 person league (min. required) and we got the Anti-Anti-Matter badge. We tried for the Bunker Buster as well as Avoids the Green Stuff but....those didn't happen heh

It can be done (we didn't exclude any AT)...it helps to just be on the same page but also be aware of yourself (if I'm being disintegrated at the last fight, I need to let others know/etc...).


I still remember the first time I did a KIR in beta; I had no idea what I was doing but following people/league-mates around but...wow...it felt "epic"/fun. It was a challenge and we almost beat AM (we lost due to the timer at the final phase) but still was fun. It's better now because there didn't use to be any markers for which reactor is which/where it was....that was fun, "go to reactor Genesis"...."uh, which one is that?"

I find Keyes easier than Lambda, I still need the master badges for Lambda, BAF and Keyes Down. Well, Ican't count Keyes because I dont have it on my badger have it on my dominator .

You have to call out when being disintegrated. You have to be seperated from everyone else, only tanks/brutes/scrappers/stalkers should be in melee. Obliteration Beam everyone moves but the taunting tank(at the last second).

To get Loves a Challenge Badge, you cant die and destroy any terminals. The final phase is like a Hami-Raid mixed in with a bit of Apex Task Force.
This means, when you see the Green Aura on the ground, MOVE.

First Wave: Fight Anti-Matter to 75% hitpoints - He will Freeze time and teleport to a bunker. Let him Regen to 100% and taunting tank pulls him to the middle. Rinse and repeat to 50%

Second Wave: Fight to 50% then he'll Freeze time again to teleport to the next bunker. Then at 100% fight to 25%, rinse and repeat the process.

Third Wave: Fight to 25% then he'll teleport to the last bunker. He'll regen to 100% then KILL THE S-O-B

MMs in bodyguard mode DO NOT have to worry about disentegration. Bodyguard mode soaks all of the damage, so on a MM heavy Keyes, you can basically ignore that portion of the fight completely. You just have to make sure you are in BG mode, and you have most of your pets around you (for melee heavy debuff sets, like /traps and /pain that wouldn't be an issue, but sets like /FF and /thermal might have some problems keeping their pets around them, and being effective at doing thier job)

I think I read this in the badges forum too but, AM seems to do his "Time Freezes" at slightly higher intervals than 75%, 50%, 25%. Last night when I was leading a KIR, he did his first one at 80% (78% at the lowest possibly).

So maybe, 80, 60, 20%? Just fyi

Antimatter freezes time at 80%, 50%, and 25% of his health. Now there are discrepancies to that. IF he disintergrates someone NEAR the freeze time it will confuse the health bar and he will freeze time at seemingly weird times other then 80,50,25. But the main times to watch for are 80,50,25.
