Unfortunately, he's slightly below soft-cap for E/NE if he drops the Mako's set entirely. However, I actually prefer to use the combination of 3 Pulverizing Fisticuffs plus 3 Pounding Slugfests; it gives you slightly more E/NE def and fully slots the attack for damage, which a Mako's set will not do.

And yes, using Hecatomb instead of Crushing Impact is a great idea if you can afford the purples!

Lastly, you might want to use the Armageddon Chance for Fire Damage in Foot Stomp instead of the Dam/Rchg. You've got enough global recharge that FS should still be up pretty fast.

Mako offers a 1.88% bonues to E/N, not a huge bonuses but nothing to yawn at either. The set also offers a damage bonus and hit point bonus, both of which are awesome for tanks. Depending on existing recharge, I'd much rather have the Mako set than Crushing Impact.

You've given me some interesting ideas for the a next step on my Inv/SS. I just softcapped S/L and picked up a lot of extra defense in other areas and it has really breathed new life into my Tank. Extending from S/L to everything but Toxic & Psionic would be pretty impressive.

I actually consider defense to E/N/F/C to be MORE important for an Invuln tank. Your S/L resistance will be capped almost by accident, but you don't resist exotic types nearly as well. It really sucks to be running Invuln and run into a bunch of pure energy damage before your defenses are solid.
